We love baking with peanut butter, Easter is usually a celebration for baking in our house. This year we have been baking everyday since March 23rd and so we are finding fun recipes that we haven’t tried before. You may have seen our peanut butter and jam cupcake recipe, well this one is peanut butter and chocolate cupcakes. Yummy.
We are trying to use things up in the cupboards, instead of popping out to the shop for that odd item (which we would normally do). It has made us think very differently about what we are eating, cooking and what we actually need. We had a stock of peanut butter in the cupboards and this recipe is a great way of making tasty cupcakes and also, using up some of the Easter chocolate the kiddies get.
Americans love peanut butter and enjoy some of the most delicious peanut butter. SKIPPY® Peanut Butter is made only with high quality peanuts sourced from the USA, just one of the reasons the taste is so authentic! The main source of peanuts for other brands in the UK is China and Brazil.
Fluffy chocolate and peanut butter cupcakes
Ingredients
- 1 jar 340g jar SKIPPY® Peanut Butter (Smooth)
- 230 g chocolate cake mix
- 200 g vanilla buttercream icing
Instructions
- Prepare the cake mix, bake and cool the cake according to the pack directions for cupcakes
- Blend 100g peanut butter and the icing until smooth
- spread evenly over the cupcakes
- In a small microwaveable bowl, microwave a further 100g peanut butter on FULL (100%) for 30 seconds or until melted. Drizzle over the cupcakes.

Tuesday, April 14, 2020Anything that has peanut butter in it goes down a storm in our household and we have MASSES of chocolate left over too so this is a dream combination and your post could not have come at a better time! I’m super excited to have managed to get some eggs at last so I think we’ll probably make chocolate muffins and add the peanut butter to that mix before baking. Yum, thank you for sharing! X
