We trusted that caretaker! He fooled us all.

On the 9th June 2020 we found out that the former caretaker at the children's first primary school had been charged with 21 offences in relation to children. I have not been able to write anything as I didn't want to hinder the court case, but today he was sentenced; he only got 5 years! No parent should have to go through this; the guilt, the anger, the disgust. He fooled us all. I am grateful I got to hug them tight throughout homeschooling, it comforted me for that period of time to know they were safe at home. VIEW the POST

Understanding the new rules of lockdown #stayalert

I have seen a lot of comments on social media about the new rules of lockdown, as of 10th May 2020, Boris announced some changes to the lockdown and also some changes to the message of Stay at Home to Stay Alert. It's tough to get your head around this pandemic, so I thought it would be helpful to set out some thoughts on the new rules. The one with the pot plant and the misunderstanding

Back in September when the kiddies started their new school, we met a few families and these families also had children that played in Noah’s football team. It’s been good for the kiddies and for me having these relationships. We all get on really well, it’s lovely. One of the families is from America and we have fun interpreting words and their meanings. There have been some funny misunderstandings; like the one with the pot plant…

Spending time with Grandma at Christmas time #familytraditions

My Grandparents are a huge part of my life, from the day I was born they have always been there for me. They did everything for me; boxes of food for university, dinners on a Saturday night and then sitting back and watching Inspector Morse. A family Christmas time. I loved my time with them both and it was devastating to lose my Grandad, he was like a Father to me growing up. I am so glad he gave me away and got to meet my children. VIEW the POST
