I have had a lotttt of feedback about our kitchen worktop makeover. It’s been so lovely to see everyone commenting and asking questions, it has been a popular post in the Frenchic Facebook Group, I posted it in there as I painted my cupboards using Frenchic first. Here are some other tips I have discovered whilst doing DIY at home, that you may find useful.
Well, with all this wonderful sunshine I have loved keeping on top of the laundry. This is my biggest weakness when it comes to the housework. Usually, Hubby does all the washing (because I forget) and I put it all away. I have some great tips on keeping on top of the laundry, even the washing machine, especially during lockdown and instantly making you feel happier! I love an empty laundry basket, don’t you?
You may have seen our Master Bedroom reveal recently, well it needed some finishing touches to make it complete and that’s exactly what we did. I love our bedroom, it’s amazing how different it looks from a year ago when we moved in. You can see the before and after photos in the original post.
There are few things more fulfilling than having a lovely clean home and that is why choosing the right products for each task is so important. Choosing a range that is cruelty free, suitable for vegans and vegetarians and will deliver #AstonishingResults is at the top of the list for many shoppers. I have loved trying out the Astonish cleaning products and so I thought what better way to celebrate than to run a giveaway. Cleaning also helps my mental health as it gives me some time to park away my thoughts and process what I am thinking. I often finish cleaning with a list of things to do or people to speak to!
We have loved doing up our home over the past year. One of the major spaces we have changed is our master bedroom and obviously it is the space that not many people see. It looked completely different from when we moved in; vibrant pink and a 40 plus year old carpet. We have truly given it a makeover and some love.
As you know we moved into our family home on January 10 of this year, 2019, we have done a lot of work to the house and more recently we have up-cycled the kitchen cupboards. What a difference it has made? I wanted to go through the steps we have made in the kitchen makeover to make it what it is today: a journey through the 8 months! I think we have transformed the kitchen with very little budget and it’s a great family space.
As you know we moved into our new home back in January and it has been a very busy time making our family home. We finally, thankfully, managed to get the children’s bedrooms carpeted over bank holiday weekend and this kicked off a trail of events. Once the carpet was complete, we could build Isla’s new furniture and make her bedroom just right. I absolutely love her bedroom; it would have been a dream bedroom for me growing up. Isla is 7 tomorrow and what a perfect time to finish off her beautiful space.
Since the update last week, we have booked in to have our kitchen floor tiled and also our bathroom is being plastered. So this weekend we have to get all the tiles off of the bathroom wall. We have spent our time doing a bit of gardening and sorting over the past few weeks. I have also made a start on my test kitchen cupboard door with an undercoat layer.
