When flying with the family I have a few anxieties, needless to say the current position across the world is not helping me at all. We have booked flights to Dubai and we are staying with friends and yes, we have travel insurance. But I am still full of fear. I thought writing out my worries and how I have overcome them may help other families in similar positions.
It is no secret we love travelling as a family, albeit we do not go away a lot. We have been lucky to have some fantastic opportunities for family holidays over the years. This year is no exception as we are off to Dubai very soon. We are so excited. It got me thinking about how do you plan for that dream holiday? Such big decisions and a ball of excitement, it can hard to concentrate. Well, that’s how I feel.
We were invited to stay at Hemsby Beach Holiday Park by Richardson’s and we had a fun packed weekend. We stayed in a luxury lodge with a hot tub which was perfect for a nice lazy weekend. We had loads of fun on site too. Here is what we got up to on our stay…
It is no secret we are huge Disney fans and my ultimate dream holiday would be to go to Disneyworld, Florida. Hubby’s parents go every other year and they have given me some great tips for if we ever do book a trip there. I thought these might be helpful to you, so I scribbled them down.
Over the years, as the children have got older, we have realised quite how stressful planning a trip abroad can be. Everything from worrying about the cots when the children were babies, to what activities there are on offer as they get older. There are so many things to think about so I thought I would capture a few helpful tips and my chosen location is Phuket (it’s on my bucket list).
I get asked a lot about what I take with me when we are out with the kids, travelling abroad is no different. We still needs wipes, first aid kits and that all important spares of underwear for both children! But there are some things that we would take now that we didn’t know about when the children were younger, or simply they are not needed any longer.
I do not get anxious about many things. When it comes to flying I absolutely love it, I get far too excited and cannot contain myself. I love watching the planes all take off, trying to work out which plane is ours and clock watching until the gates open. I do, however, have one fear when it comes to flying and that is getting to the airport on time. After all of the issues I have had with booking the flights, I do not need to add to this list.
