Wetherspoon has added American and international inspired meals to their new menu. The new meals are Peri-peri roast half chicken (British chicken, fresh coleslaw and chips); as well as New York Style Hot Dog (Classic hot dog and Gourmet hot dog – the Classic is a pork hot dog, served with chips and the Gourmet is a pork hot dog with chilli con carne, cheese and beer-battered onion rings). Wetherspoon pubs also offering a Tennessee burger (beef or chicken breast, bacon, honey glaze, made with Jack Daniel’s® Tennessee Honey) and Full rack of BBQ ribs (with BBQ sauce, fresh coleslaw and beer-battered onion rings).

We are always keen to introduce new dishes to the menu and we believe that they will be a great addition.

We went to Wetherspoon’s and me and Daddy tried the Tennessee burger, it was very tasty and needless to say we were both shocked with the size of it. I was really amazed at how well they catered for the kiddies, the pubs used to strike me as “drinkers” pubs because of the great deals you can get at the bar – I had no idea that the food in the restaurant was going to be so yummy and the place really is child friendly. High chairs, kids menu and colouring in – what more can you ask for?

We really enjoyed our visit and the new items on the menu were extremely yummy and a great price too, one of my favourite meals is BBQ rack of ribs and for £7.99 for a full rack I was really impressed.

I love the fact that you can get deals off of the main menu, so depending on what main item you choose, some of them come with a free drink (you get a good selection for the free drink too). It’s really good, they have really got some great deals.

The food came out really quickly and Noah’s came out first, which is the most important meal – when you loose the concentration of a toddler that is it! Well it is for us anyway and the fact that Noah’s meal came out promptly and he had his Fruit Shoot too, all was well. He tucked into his meal, I have never seen him eat chicken breast at home and he ate nearly 2 thirds of his chicken breast and Isla munched the carrots and broccoli. I couldn’t believe the sheer size of Noah’s meal, it kept him going until teatime and he was full of beans. The price of the children’s meal was really good too.

So, overall, we had a really great experience in Wetherspoons, the staff were friendly, the food came out promptly (we had a 2 hour parking limit, so this was great news and we were starving), the food was hot and presented really well and it was a great deal too. Not expensive and extremely generous portions for the prices. A thumbs up from everyone at the table, including little Noah and Isla. I would recommend Wetherspoons to any family, if you enjoy good pub grub, especially the “New & Groovy” menu.

We finished our meals off with a new filter coffee which complements their existing range of coffees (cappuccino, latte, mocha and espresso). The freshly brewed filter coffee is made using Lavazza 100 per cent Arabica freshly ground beans and was rather yummy.
