I love Zoflora, I have been a big fan for years. My most popular blog post is using Zoflora in your steam mop actually, if you fancy a read of it. So I thought I would share another Zoflora cleaning hack. It is quite a versatile product that means cleaning your home is really stress free and it lasts for a very long time. The new Zoflora Springtime fragrance is coming out very soon and perfect for this time of year.

You can use Zoflora, diluted, to make your own trigger sprays around the home? I didn’t realise this until recently and it is perfect for this lockdown situation. We are all cleaning our homes a lot more than normal and we are all washing our hands more. So ensuring we clean adequately, killing that bacteria is essential. Who knew that diluted Zoflora will still kill bacteria? So, you have the get the ratios correct…

Homemade Zoflora trigger spray

It is super easy to make your own Zoflora trigger spray, first you need an empty and clean trigger spray bottle. Recycle an old one, you don’t need to go out and buy a new one. Make sure it’s cleaned and does not contain residue from the old product.

After you have a clean trigger spray bottle, you simply add 20ml of Zoflora (which is a cap full) and fill the rest of the bottle with water.

Give it a quick shake and voila! The 500ml bottle of Springtime Zoflora will refill this trigger spray bottle so many times and last the whole of Spring I think. I have been using this bottle for just over a week and it’s nearly run out. I would say, cleaning your home on average a couple of times a day, it will last a good week.

I use a clean microfibre cloth, spray the diluted Zoflora straight onto the cloth and wipe all of our hot areas in the home. Hand controls, phones, door handles, window handles, surfaces like tables and kitchen worktops. The diluted substance works as an antibacterial spray, even though it’s diluted. Which makes it last that much longer in your home.

I had a little fun with it, of course, in my Instagram Stories and created a Zoflora highlight on my Instagram profile – you can go back to these and watch them anytime. It shows you in video form, how to get the right amount of Zoflora to make your own trigger spray at home. If you have any tips on how to use Zoflora around the home, or your very own Zoflora cleaning hack, I would love to hear them in the comments below or on social media: @mummyconstant.

Happy cleaning!
