5 Tips to get kids used to wearing face masks

5 Tips to get kids used to wearing face masks

Despite promises that warmer weather would help eliminate the virus, the COVID-19 pandemic doesn’t show any signs of slowing down in the United States. As a result, more and more people are wearing cloth face masks in public to slow the spread of the virus, and that should include kids over the age of two -- especially when school starts back up again in the Autumn, at least in places where kids will be required to attend classes in person. We had to wear face masks at hospital last weekend and one thing that jumped into mind was how big it was on Noah. Making sure it is the right size is essential. VIEW the POST

A fun Stay Home activity with Kids Stuff Crazy

A fun Stay Home activity with Kids Stuff Crazy

What better way to pass an hour, or two, than to create a fun bathtime activity for the children. My kiddies love playing in the bathtub and shower. They would spend hours in the bathroom if they could. Swimming pools are closed and the weather isn't warm enough for a paddling pool just yet, so we put on our swimming costumes and went into the bathroom for some indoor, stay at home, fun during lockdown. Using our new Kids Stuff Crazy products we played lots of games. VIEW the POST

Day 1 of homeschooling complete

It might sound crazy to celebrate Day 1 of homeschooling, it is important to me to give ourselves a pat on the back though. But I think the stress was only due to the pressure I put upon myself. VIEW the POST

Useful online resources for children whilst homeschooling

Useful online resources for children whilst homeschooling

UPDATED 31 March 2020: I have found some incredible online resources from various sources and a lot of Googling last night. Perfect to keep your little ones entertained whilst homeschooling and working from home. We are going to try and keep the kiddies in their school routine as much as possible, just with different activities. We also have to juggle working from home, so some of these resources may mean that whilst they are concentrating on something for an hour, I get an extra hour of work done. Anything is going to help over the foreseeable. I am still in shock I think, I haven't cried yet, although I have felt it a few times. VIEW the POST

Coronavirus – changing our plans for Easter

Well, I am sure we are not the only family to be affected by the news this week: non essential travel is banned for 30 days and the kids are off school (with no end date) due to the Coronavirus. It’s such a daunting time. In less than 2 weeks, we had planned to go to Dubai to visit friends. It’s crazy to think how this has all transformed in such a short space of time. I know it’s important and I understand why, don’t get me wrong, but what a shock for the system! With that in mind, I am planning on covering a lot of ideas and resources over the next week to help other families in a similar situation.
