January 2021 and that dreaded news hits our ears: "schools are closing to all students". I can deal with all other restrictions but closing the schools to the children just breaks my heart. They were so sad, Isla cried herself to sleep and just knowing how much they will miss their friends and routine. Lockdown 3 is a lot different to the first lockdown. I know I am not the only one to think that. In the Spring it was bright, sunny, dry and getting out in the garden was easy. We also had lots of space to use for quiet office space, our conservatory for example. This time around we are all trying to use the same spaces and we are not getting out into the garden as much. Well, I never thought we would be in a position like this at the start of the year. We have all had to adapt and be flexible in this new world of lockdown. 10 Ways I am cheering myself up during lockdown

After nearly a week of lockdown I am exhausted. And, I know I am not the only one. When this was first announced my husband and I came up with a plan where we split the homeschooling half and half. However, after a week of doing this I am not sure it’s sustainable. I literally do not stop. Parent / teacher / employee / parent… constantly. To make it worse I am hardly getting time with Hubby as he is working when I am not. So, during this lockdown, these are some things I am doing to cheer myself up!
