Did you know it’s World Earth Day on April 22nd 2021 and World Environment Day on 5th June 2021? From the plastic packaging filling land fills, to cosmetic chemicals washing away down the drain and disrupting marine life; our beauty routines can make a huge impact. Over the past year I have been looking out for eco-friendly and vegan products to introduce into my beauty regime. I am really conscious about what products I use, where they come from and how they are made. With more and more brands conscious about this too, products are easier to find and in most cases, I find, better than the originals. My quandary is; if vegan ice cream tastes the same, if not better than, normal ice cream – why not make it all vegan? Here are some products I have been using and I love them.

Eco-friendly razor

Wilkinson Sword

Wilkinson Sword have launched their first sustainable razor for women; the Xtreme 3 Beauty Eco-Green which is made from 95% recycled plastic and features 3 blades and two lubricating strips. The blades which have been formulated with aloe vera and Vitamin E to protect from irritation, perfect for sensitive skin. The handle has been designed with a built in grip and the packaging is FSC certified packaging made from over 90% recycled paper. You can buy this as one razor, £7.50 and for a pack of 4 it’s £10.

Eco-friendly routine

Using eco-friendly bamboo buds, plastic soap like this Almond Milk & Oats Superfly Soap, a bamboo toothbrush and this cute reusable face cloth from Mummy’s Marvellous Makes. No more plastic products for me! The face cloth is such a great idea as it means I can use it and wash it, then use it again! Such great products and a great first step into an eco-friendly world at home. These are perfect eco-friendly and vegan products.

Vegan beauty products

I cannot wait to use these fantastic Pinky Goat Lashes, I love using fake lashes and knowing these are vegan makes them perfect. Reusable up to 15 times and £9.99 from Superdrug they are great for when I can start going out again. Only Curls is a remarkable deep hydration mask made from bio plastic sugarcane. I have naturally wavy curls and this is perfect, it adds moisture and protein. The Shea Moisture SuperFruit Complex 10 in 1 renewal system hair masque, it transforms dull and brittle hair. I use this weekly and it’s really helped my hair to look healthier. The SOS skincare SPF 50 is moisturising and protects my skin from the sun. I have sensitive skin in places and so do the kiddies, it comes with us on our Summer day trips. I love this Best Washes Uplifting Body Wash, I have been using it over the past month and it is lovely; it smells divine. Minty and cucumber scents. This Sugar Coated Full Body Hair Removal Kit is also brilliant; the kit comes with the sugar wax, cloth and spatula’s.

Best wishes
