We were super lucky to work with Vertbaudet and create a wonderful story corner in Isla’s bedroom. It was a little upgrade to her bedroom makeover that we finished last April. Isla loves reading, she reads to all of her soft toys and even reads Daddy a bedtime story in the evenings. It was a natural upgrade in her bedroom and I think it looks gorgeous… and cosy.

Choosing the right cushion

The main element to the story corner is the beautiful floor futon with tassels, I am in love with this large cushion. I want to put them all over the floor and just make one big comfy space. The starry pattern is really lovely and I love the green colour, it goes really well with the pinks and greys in Isla’s bedroom. For £33.50 it is an absolute bargain.

Matching with Vertbaudet accessories

I chose the lovely coat rack as Isla loves her dressing gowns and monkeys, it is the perfect tool for hanging these up and giving them a home. The designs on the hooks are beautiful, so so cute. I can see why it is called a lovely coat rack. It is currently in the sale and you can grab this for just £10.50 which is such a great price.

The hexagonal shelves come in a set of 3 and they are perfect for storing beautiful keepsakes on display. They come as a set of 3 in different sizes and 3 different colours. The colours look wonderful in Isla’s room and match perfectly. They are really easy to hang too as they just need one nail at the top and then have adhesive stickers on the bottom. They are only £31.00.

Then to finish the area off this beautiful brass mirror was the perfect accessory. It is a gold design and has 3 different coloured pom poms on the bottom right hand side. The colours match the story corner and really did finish it off nicely.

It is the perfect space for a story corner, Isla was amazed when she walked through the bedroom door. She loved seeing her monkeys on show, you could see she was proud of showing these off. It was lovely to see her face light up as she walked in the room.
