I felt so honoured to be invited to go to centre:mk with my Mumma, take Mum around the shops, out for lunch and even a lovely hand massage. centre:mk is one of the top 10 shopping destinations in the UK and it is my go to place to shop. I love it. It was a lovely day; we never get to do stuff like this anymore as life is just so hectic. It was definitely nice to spoil her as part of the #CMKSpoilHer campaign.

Lunch at Carluccio’s

As you know we are big fans of Carluccio’s in the Constant household and Mum had never been. So being able to take her there and try out some of the menu was fun. She loved the arancini (knew she would) and enjoyed the new Risotto Verde special, with a glass of Bellini of course! It was nice to just take some time and enjoy a nice meal without the kiddies saying “Mum” or “Nanna” every 5 minutes.

Mother's Day at Carluccio's

Carluccio’s have a great Mother’s Day offer for that whole weekend: 2 courses and a glass of Sparkling Rose for just £22.95. I think it’s lovely to spend time with your Mum, especially when you are eating delicious food. Carluccio’s started off as a café in 1999, with it’s own food shop. I love that they serve freshly prepared Italian food on the premises and sell their yummy products too.

Consultation at Lush

I absolutely adore Lush and to be given a personal consultation with 2 of the team was just amazing. I learnt so much about the products and new products that I had no idea I could get in Lush. I am in love with the Shampoo Bars and Conditioner Bars – they work like a bar of soap and are perfect for travelling. I am definitely going to get some for our upcoming trip to Dubai.

Lush

After we had a tour of the products and what did what, so many things to talk about. We had a hand massage which was amazing. Kat used a massage bar on my arm. I was amazed as the bar doesn’t need anything except itself. It literally works on the heat of your body. You rub the bar on your skin for a minute or two and then it’s ready to massage. I was absolutely amazed. I got to take the bar home with me too, it is lush! I love Lush as they fight against animal testing and operate a thoroughly ethical buying department.

Did you know that everytime you take a pot back it gets recycled? So much so, that every pot on the shelves is recycled. They no longer have to buy new pots. If you take 3 pots back you get a free product.

Home design service with John Lewis & Partners

After that we went and met Jaz at John Lewis, she is a home designer and her words “she basically gets to play Sims all day long”. Amazing. I love that game! She works in the home design area of John Lewis and they give out free style advice or can even design a room in your home.

Home Design

You can pay £250 for a consultation, where one of the team visits your home and then goes away to style out what they think you would like and work well. Then, if you buy any of the products from this, they take the £250 off. So, if you are buying a sofa from John Lewis then it pays to get the room styled around the sofa, effectively for free, as you know you are paying for a sofa anyway.

Café experience at Hotel Chocolat

I love Hotel Chocolat but I had no idea that they had a) a café in store and b) amazing beauty products. Mum and I got to try out the new range of Hot Chocolates and their best-selling chocolate at this time of the year: the Caramel City Easter Bunnies

They have a brilliant range of Mother’s Day goodies, from boxes of chocolates in pretty packaging to their beauty range. We tried the new Wonderbalm and the Cacao and Wild Honey hand cream which are amazing products. They smell and look edible (they are not).

Neon Sheep

From there we took a walk to Neon Sheep and had a quick shopping spree. Neon Sheep is rammed full of wonder from floor to ceiling. I love the vibrant, neon pink sheep everywhere too. The prices of the items are really reasonable, for example: pens for 50p, knitted scarves for £50. They even sell crockery and home décor items. I was in heaven!

I love all the quirky gifts in this store, and I managed to grab a few things for Mother’s Day and Easter presents. We loved it!
