We are very excited that the beautiful Christmas Trail is on again at Wimpole Estate this year. Sony Music’s magical illuminated trail Christmas at Wimpole will return for a third year between Friday, 24 November and Sunday, 31 December. The kids and I went last year and had the most magical evening!

The spectacular Cambridgeshire trail will have some brand new installations for 2023, providing after-dark festive fun for all the family. There has been a clue to look in the sky for feathers! I wonder if we pick this up. We loved all the music and lights last year, and spotting Father Christmas, that was a nice surprise.

Details of the Christmas Trail can be found on the National Trust website.

Dates are from 24 November to 31 December: Open from 4.30pm, last entry 8pm (7pm on Dec 24, 26, 30, 31)

Closed 27, 28, 29 November and 4, 5, 25 December

The cost of tickets are from: Adult £19, Child £14.50, Family £64 (2 adults & 2 children). Free entry for carers and infants aged 2 & under.

Parking £8 per car. Free to National Trust members if booked before the day of the visit.

Address of Wimpole Estate is: Wimpole Estate, Arrington, Royston SG8 0BW

Sony Music, has been delivering illuminated Christmas trails for over eight years. Each trail is carefully designed to showcase the natural and unique environment of the individual location. There are currently 30 trails across the UK, Europe, USA, and Australia within the My Christmas Trails and Lightscape portfolios.

Last year there was a selection of food and drink stalls spread around the walk and some fun fair rides by the entrance. The children loved it and they very much enjoyed the hot food on offer too. It was an amazing evening for us all.

Here are some of my photos from last year:

I would love to know if we inspire you to visit Wimpole this Christmas, or one of the other Christmas Trails. Don’t forget to comment below…
