It was the first wedding of the year for us over bank holiday weekend and a Spring outfit was necessary, I was really conscious that hubby was wearing a royal blue suit and so I wanted to match up with him. I went into Next and three of the lovely staff helped me source the perfect outfit.
1. My outfit consisted of this beautiful navy lace knee length dress which was only £45, a very sophisticated style which is perfect for a wedding and it was light too. Getting the balance right for a Spring wedding is hard as it could be glorious sunshine or grey clouds with showers, thankfully the weather was just right on Sunday.
2. I thought this long silver heart necklace would compliment the outfit nicely, and it was only £12, I thought it was a nice addition to the sparkly outfit. I love heart shapes so it was one of those impulse buys that caught my eye.
3. I fell in love with the sparkly range, shoes and the matching shimmer envelope clutch bag which was £14. It comes with a strap that can be hidden inside or used as a shoulder bag. It came in really handy when I wanted to dance.
4. I found these amazing shimmer slingback heels, a little high for me as I haven’t worn heels since having Noah but I had to get them. These were £28, which I thought was a complete bargain. They match the clutch bag and they went with the navy dress really well. It’s nice to wear a bit of sparkle every now and again, and what better excuse than wedding season!
I had lots of lovely compliments that the outfit was nice and I thought it went with hubby’s outfit really well too. For under £100 I thought it was fantastic and I am so glad I asked the staff for their opinions in the changing room as I would not have picked this dress.
We had a wedding over the bank holiday weekend too. In fact it was also at a golf course… wondering if we may have been to the same one?!
