🍂 The leaves are starting to scatter
it can only mean one thing: Autumn is on the way!

I handed my assignment in
now the waiting of whether I passed or not. It was my final one and so it’s worth 50% of the year. As you can imagine it’s pretty nerve wracking.

A degree apprenticeship is harder than it looked. Not only do you study the academic aspects of a degree, you also do the apprenticeship side of things. Both have learning and assignments. That’s 8 a year!

On top of working full time and being a parent, oh and a blogger. Yes, it’s been a hard few years. But if we can all just cross fingers that I’ve got more than 40% on this last assignment - I’ll be so happy! đŸ€Ł

Now it’s done I can start looking forward to Autumn. It’s my favourite season and makes me so happy. I’ve got lots of exciting things to share with you over the next few weeks
an Autumnal themed competition for one!

What do you love about Autumn? 🍂

✏ What a week
These 2 threw themselves back into đ˜€đ—°đ—”đ—Œđ—Œđ—č without any issues and completely smashed it! Isla has joined her big brother again as she started secondary school. She is still a bit nervous, it must be daunting having so many people in the year and it’s such a big school. Noah seems to have seamlessly transitioned into year 8.⁣
⁣
They’ve been told they can leave their blazers at home, due to the đ—”đ—Č𝗼𝘁𝘄𝗼𝘃đ—Č, but they’ve both worn them all day. đŸ„” I don’t know how they’ve done it.⁣
⁣
I thought it would be 𝘀𝘄đ—Č𝗼𝘁đ—Č𝗿 𝘄đ—Čđ—źđ˜đ—”đ—Č𝗿 already, not sweaty weather! Clearly chose the wrong photo prompt for mummyphotoaday! ⁣
⁣
On another note I’ve been head down studying for my very final assignment for đ˜‚đ—»đ—¶. Deadline is Tuesday, so forgive me if you do not hear from me for a few days. I am so excited to finish, it will be one of my biggest achievements. ⁣
⁣
How has your transition back to school/work or uni life been this week? ⁣

đŸ€žđŸ»â€â™€ïž Come and see a đ—±đ—źđ˜† đ—¶đ—» đ˜đ—”đ—Č đ—čđ—¶đ—łđ—Č of a gymnast by Isla! She wanted to show you the kinds of things they get up to in class and hopefully inspire some new, budding, gymnasts.⁣
⁣
𝗚𝘆đ—șđ—łđ—¶đ—»đ—¶đ˜đ˜† is a brilliant club for children to learn a new skill. Not only has Isla been learning gymnastics but also confidence. She is a different girl to what started a few years ago, she loves going to class and absolutely loves the girls in her group.⁣
⁣
I’m hoping Isla has got her level 6, which she is currently working towards. đ—”đ˜„đ—źđ—żđ—±đ˜€ week are every quarter where we get to see how close Isla is to the next level up. The girls love working towards the star of the week each class too! ⁣

Let me know if you get đ—¶đ—»đ˜€đ—œđ—¶đ—żđ—Čđ—± from seeing Isla, it would make her day
 đŸ€žđŸ»â€â™€ïž ⁣

Thank you @gymfinitykids for helping Isla with her confidence and gymnastics skills.

#prgifted Isla gets her lessons partially funded in exchange for us showing you what she gets up to.
We had a chilled weekend, the last of the Summer Holidays, no plans and just us. The kids still have a few days at home this week but we wanted to start getting in a good đ—żđ—Œđ˜‚đ˜đ—¶đ—»đ—Č: bedtime and waking up!⁣
⁣
Saturday we went for a lovely walk after stuffing our faces at the Pizza Hut all you can eat buffet. The walk around the marina is so lovely, look at that 𝘀𝗾𝘆? ⁣
⁣
Sunday we spent most of the day chilling at the side of another lake, Grafham. It felt very hot with little wind, the sun was đ—Żđ—żđ—¶đ—Žđ—”đ˜. We had a mini badminton tournament & the kids bounced on the pillow. They love it there. I finally got to take Isla to see Barbie last night too: I was gutted the Barbie box had been taken down.⁣
⁣
I do love weekends like this when it’s just chilled and there’s no rushing to get places. Now we have a couple of days to get back into a routine and prepare for 𝘀đ—Čđ—°đ—Œđ—»đ—±đ—źđ—żđ˜† school. đŸ˜± ⁣
⁣
Are you ready for the early mornings and rushing around again? ⁣

The benefits of understanding early toddler development

The benefits of understanding early toddler development

Human development is a fascinating subject that is still being studied so that we can fully understand how we as a species develop. The most important part of development for a person is during the formative years when we are younger and are growing at the fastest rate humans ever experience. When your baby is transitioning to a toddler there are a number of things you are going to want to be aware of regarding their development. VIEW the POST

Draytons magical Christmas

Draytons magical Christmas

Last weekend we took a trip to Drayton Manor for their wonderful, magical Christmas opening at Thomasland in Tamworth, and what a fabulous time we had: snow falling sessions, fat controller songs, Rosie train rides, fascinating lights and lots of fun on the little ones rides. VIEW the POST

Noah – 4 years

It’s finally here, the little four, its crept up on us and is at our door. Many days and many nights, he’s been growing and has been a delight. He learns all day, he learns with pride, the beaming smile he just can’t hide. We love him so, you cannot deny, the happiness he gives us, why? Because he’s ours and because he’s a joy, my little Noah the birthday boy.

#Recipe – Spooky Halloween cake pops

I love being creative with my baking, I couldn't care less if they tasted horrible - I just enjoy making the pretty little things and decorating it all. I usually get hubby to do the baking of cakes as he is great at them, I love decorating them. So we make a good team. This time, I did the baking too and they did taste great. The kids loved this Halloween themed cake pops. I got the idea from Dr Oetker and the great thing about this recipe is decorating the cake pops doesnt have to be perfect, so the kids will love getting involved. VIEW the POST

#CountryKids: a leaf throwing adventure

#CountryKids: a leaf throwing adventure

Yes! I can finally say that I am so happy to see autumn: cool days where we can wrap up warm and venture to a forest or park and throw autumn leaves around and have the most fun! We spent a couple of hours walking around our local RSPB this weekend, it was a lot of fun and that goes for the adults too. These photos make me incredibly happy, my favourite people and my favourite time of year. VIEW the POST

Noah – 3 years and 11 months

My little man is growing up, incredibly so, he’s learning bigger words, longer sentences and he is rather clever. I suppose all nearly 4 year olds could be described this way, but there you go. I have been told that there are children that go to school that cannot go to the toilet on their own, or write their own names yet – so with that in mind I think my little man is doing alright.
