#recipe: Yummy Beef Stew

This yummy beef stew is adapted from my favourite chef, Jamie Oliver, I haven’t changed much – why would I? This is perfect on a wintery day when you can throw it all in the oven and leave it until dinner time. The slow cooker is a good idea too!

  1. 127g Flora Buttery, softened
  2. 190g Caster sugar
  3. 94g Dark brown sugar
  4. 3 eggs
  5. 3 tsp vanilla essence
  1. 440g self-raising flour
  2. 1½ tsp salt
  3. 1½ tsp baking soda
  4. 1½ tsp baking powder
To decorate
  1. 1 pack white chocolate chips
  2. 1 broken up Easter egg
  3. 1 pack Cadbury mini eggs
  1. Place the Cadbury mini eggs in a large bag, with the back of a tablespoon hit each egg and they'll pop in half.
  2. Cream the butter and the sugars in an electric mixer until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time; mixing with each addition.
  4. Add vanilla.
  5. Add the flour; mixing until 80% incorporated.
  6. Add the chocolate chips and and cadbury mini eggs and use a wooden spoon to blend together.
  7. Roll into 1 inch balls or use an ice cream scoop to dollop the dough onto the baking tray.
  8. Bake at 180 degrees for 9-10 minutes until the edges are slightly browned.
  9. Let them rest on the baking tray or greaseproof paper for 1 minute, then transfer to a rack to cool.
  1. You can use any chocolate from the eggs you received. Get creative!

Hi Sarah, I used Morrisons Lean-Diced-Stewing-Steak 🙂 It was easy to toss into the mix then…

Glad you like the look of the stew, it was very yummy and the beef was very tender. 🙂 x
