So, hubby is doing the “Nightrider” bike ride challenge through the capital city on Saturday 8th June 2013, he sets off at midnight from Alexandra Palace all the way around London City and it’s landmarks on a 100km route. One of my biggest fears for my family is not having a family home and the charity that Dean is raising money for is “Shelter” who do great work for people who have housing problems. Home owners struggling to pay the mortgage, tenants that have issues with their landlord or a homeless person looking for a roof over their head. One story from the Shelter website that really touched me was the son who needed help as he was helping to look after his mum, who has cancer:
Dean is looking forward to the challenge of cycling 100km’s around London (it’s 3 x’s the amount he has ever cycled in one go before) and doing it for a great reason: to raise money for all of those families out there who face their own challenges, every single day.
There are only 70 days to go and he has a target to reach before then, I would really appreciate it if you could help support Dean’s bike ride for his chosen charity “Shelter”, even if it’s just a £1.
For every person that donates to Dean’s fund, I will automatically enter their email address into my very special competition starting on the 9th April, to celebrate my blog being 3 years old – a chance to win over £300’s worth of prizes. So make sure to leave me a comment below telling me you have sponsored, we really appreciate it.
