We were super lucky to have a fabulous treat at Dobbies Garden Centre in Milton Keynes yesterday. We only had afternoon tea with Santa. It was fabulous and the kiddies loved it. There are some fun Christmas activities going on at Dobbies this year, including breakfast with Santa and Santa’s Grotto. Check out events in your local store.

Afternoon tea with Santa

With our tickets we got: afternoon tea for all 4 of us, kids activities and both children came away with a present from Santa too. The afternoon tea was delicious, the children loved theirs as out came a tray loaded with pretty cakes and jelly. The children’s faces lit up. The adult afternoon tea was a traditional set up – finger sandwiches, scones and cakes. We had an endless supply of coffee and squashes too.

Our food was awaiting on our table when we got there, so we started tucking in immediately. The kiddies had colouring in on the table too and they completed the Christmas wordsearch in record time too. Whilst we were eating our meals Dobbie the reindeer came to say hello and the kiddies all had their photo with him. We also shared a carrot with him from our afternoon tea tray.

Santa

After Dobbie the reindeer went back to the stable, Santa came out and said hello to all the children as he walked around to each persons table. Then he sat down by the Christmas Tree and all the children sat on the mat to listen to Santa, stories and dancing, having fun. It was lovely to see the children all sit there in amazement. Afterwards Santa handed out goody bags (with all the children’s names on them) and the gifts were brilliant. Isla got a box of Lego and Noah got a PlayMobil set. They were really happy.

Santa story

It was such a fun evening. I loved the fact they set aside a special room for us all too, so we had Christmas music playing and lots of Christmas activities. We love celebrating Christmas as a family, so this family event was perfect. We loved our afternoon tea with Santa – what would you choose to do?
