Remember the day you read an email in your inbox saying that you have been chosen to be the “chillseeking” family for Carnival Cruise Lines? I will never forget it! This week has been incredible, we have been buzzing and planning and day dreaming and doing a little happy dance at every given opportunity.
This opportunity came around from when I went to the Britmums Live networking event back in June, which was just amazing and I got to meet the Carnival Cruise Line staff and I filled in an application form and had a wacky photo taken in a bid to become one of their ambassadors. I had absolutely no idea I would be chosen. It is just a dream come true, it really is and I am so excited.
There are five of us that were chosen, we all have a different theme and task. The other fabulous families that are coming along to test out the Carnival Vista are:
Funseeking Family: Laura Seaton – Tired Mummy of Two
Thrillseeking Family: Kara Guppy – Chelsea Mamma
Foodieseeking Family: Kirsty Phillipson-Lowe – Hijacked by Twins
Sunseeking Family: Nadine Hill – JuggleMum
and then us the Chillseeking Family: Sonia Constant – Mummy Constant
I am really pleased I get to spend a lot more time with the bloggers above and we will have some fun over the next year, in the run up to the cruise of a lifetime.
So our mission if we choose to accept it (which of course we do and have done) is to go aboard the newest ship to the Carnival Cruise Lines fleet, the Vista. It sounds rather special doesn’t it? All I know at this stage is that we are going on a family adventure, a cruise, in the summer holidays of 2016. I do not know when or for how long. But regardless that hasn’t stopped me thinking about what to pack and how exciting the trip to the port will be. What the kids must think? Then, bundled up with the excitement is a little nerves too as we have never been on a cruise before. We will be reporting back on the chill factor aboard the Vista, planning what to do whilst we are on our cruise and of course taking lots of photos and videos.

I worked on cruise ships for a few years and met my now husband who was also working onboard, I can therefore say from experience that you will have a thoroughly wonderful time:)
