🎄 Please tell me I’m not the last one to start their Christmas shopping? I started it last night (online) and I’m now panicking that I have a lot of wrapping to do and not a lot of time to do it. And more shopping to do!

I’m hoping we’ll put the Christmas decorations up this Saturday too and the house will look full of life and colour again. I love the living room in the evenings, Christmas tree and garland a glow.

We had a fabulous evening walking around the new illuminated Christmas Trail at Wimpole NT. It was a fab way to spend Black Friday evening. I can’t wait to put all of my videos together to show off just how amazing it was.

Both kids and I kept saying “wow” at every single turn. It looked beautiful, amazing and fascinating all at once.

The music as you walk around finished it all off perfectly. At no point throughout the walk could you miss the song. Each area played different songs too: so many wonderful Christmas songs. It’s really got us in the mood. The music is done by @sonymusicuk and we loved it!🎄

We made the most out of the independent street food vendors too: the Yorkshire pudding burritos were the most amazing thing I’ve evert eaten in my life! Noah said his pizza was amazing too 🍕

Let me take you around our wonderfully peaceful weekend at @hoseasons 𝐍𝐨𝐫𝐟𝐨𝐥𝐤 𝗪𝐨𝐨𝐝𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐭 & 𝐒𝐩𝐚. It was such a lovely time together as a family, the furbabies loved it too! AND Hoseasons have an amazing offer at the moment where you can take your furbabies for FREE!* 🐶💚

The lodge was so beautiful 😍 we wish we could have stayed longer! You get your very own car parking space and there’s a decking area with outdoor furniture too! 2 bedrooms had an ensuite and there’s a main bathroom. I also loved that there is a tv in all the bedrooms.

The kitchen was equipped with most things, Daddy cooked a yummy roast dinner and made use of the wine cooler during our stay. ⁣
⁣
The lodges are all a stones throw from the main reception which has a bar, restaurant, cafe and shop. There’s also a gym and indoor pool, with a fun slide and splash area for the kiddies. There’s an outdoor park, outdoor splash zone and a pitch for basketball. ⁣

Not only that, it’s surrounded by Norfolk woodland where you can go for lovely family walks with the dogs. It was peaceful and we lucked out with the beautiful weather.⁣

What a grey day! It’s definitely starting to look and feel Wintery. It felt like night time didn’t really end today 😂

Days like today make me happy to have things on my watch list… I’m loving watching I’m a celebrity each night… it’s bringing summery vibes to my evenings. I’ve really liked the group of people in it this year… I’m sad about who left tonight though. (No spoilers).

I also finished The Crown last night, season 5, I loved it. Probably my favourite season so far. The actress who plays Diana is absolutely incredible, spot on! They all play their roles well don’t get me wrong.

I know it’s not a documentary but I do research the points highlighted and I also realise that some conversations will be entirely made up for the drama. However, I’ve learned a lot from The Crown. I had no idea about the heart surgeon for example, or truly understand the sacrifices The Royal Family make. It is eye opening.

We got sent these fabulous melt and create kits from @meltandcreate - the kids absolutely loved them.

Their faces just lit up when I explained they could make their very own sweets. They melted the chocolate and then sat about decorating their creations using the stencil in the kits.

They are such a fabulous gift idea for the little ones. I love the idea of using them as party bag gifts too! I might get some Christmas themed ones for the kids stockings this year.

I really love the Dawn of the Dead template. Such a great idea and even though we got these for Halloween they are fun to do anytime.

Isn’t it fresh with the cold weather coming… hats, gloves and winter coats are at the ready.

I have had to get the winter jumpers out for Snoopy too. His diabetes has caused his entire muscle mass to disappear. So he’s just a bag of bones. It’s been quite distressing over the last few weeks as you can really feel every bone.

Rambo gave us quite a scare this week too: he collapsed twice. I wasn’t prepared for it at all. I forget he’s 15.5 and I need to treat him like an old dog. He is quite agile still so it is easy to forget sometimes.

He has heart disease and so I’m not allowed to walk him far, or frequently. So no more long walks for us. He can walk over to the local park and back and that’s it. He’s on meds too for his heart.

We’ve had no more episodes since and he’s been at my ankles all week. Think the episode scared him as much as it did me.

Our furbabies are just so integral to our family unit. It’s been an absolute privilege to spend their retirement with them, as I work from home full time.

🌳 Hidden amongst the whistling giants, was a small girl and her dogs.
Venturing along the crispy path, hunting for the stenchiest bogs. 🌳

Isn’t it amazing how a change in your routine can really spark your creativity. No rushing around from a to b today for us. We took ourselves into Norfolk Woods and had a little adventure.

The sun was glorious today too which was just 👌🏻. I think we’d like to stay at Norfolk Woods a lot longer than just this weekend. It’s been just what the doctor ordered…

About last night… 🌝

We arrived at Norfolk Woods Resort & Spa, it’s a beautiful resort with @hoseasons.

We are staying in a dog friendly lodge and having a nice chilled weekend together.

This was the view from the lodge door last night. It was absolutely breathtaking. The clear sky and pretty sprinkling of stars. The moon shining down and the array of lodges too.

It’s nice to take a step away from the norm sometimes, you get a fresh perspective on things!

🥳 A huge happy birthday to Noah, whose 12 today! I cannot believe how quickly that time has gone.

We went out for his birthday meal tonight, Pizza Express, and we had fun with SnapChat whilst we waited for dinner. It was so funny!

Taking 2 small children to the dentist on your own, with a double buggy, to a place without lifts and you have to take them upstairs – should be illegal!

I am sure that dentist appointment number 3 will be more successful! Yes, this has been my second attempt in a week.

Oh bless you! Liv has only had a quick check once and she was not impressed to say the least. I was just glad the dentists had all of his fingers when we left . . . .
