Today’s keyword for the September photo challenge day 9, is “lake”. Itโs been a horrible day, lots of walking and daydreaming around #lakes to try and get some brain time to process what has actually happened! Losing someone is never easy… even if itโs someone you didnโt really know very well. But today I lost a brother and Iโm feeling a bit lost. I feel helpless as thereโs nothing I can do. I have 2 sets of siblings; my mums side and my Dads side. Itโs complicated. And so too are my feelings. Iโve known my Dad and his other children for only 7 years. I feel like I am not worthy to grieve for him. But I am. I feel sick. I feel my Dads heartbreak. I wish I could take it away – but I canโt do anything except stay strong, be there and keep going.
I love this photo of my babies so much, I gripped them extra hard tonight! I just canโt contemplate what my Dad is going through. Or any parent who has to go through that… I am certainly feeling grateful for the wonderful family I have and how much I love them…. life is short, too short!
September photo challenge day 9
Thank you for making it through 5 months of this photo challenge now, I love it! It is quite addictive. I hope more people get involved this month. I love the subjective element to the photo challenge. Everyone’s perspective of the theme of the day is different. It has made me smile seeing all of the images so far. I am very excited about doing a round up of my favourites. Thank you so much for the support in my latest adventure.
Here are the September prompts as a reminder, I would love for you to join in again this month. Take a look at the photos that have been uploaded so far #mummyphotoaday.
