When it comes to acne, it seems like we’re always treating blemishes and outbreaks, but never really curing the problem. While spot treating is useful to eliminate pesky breakouts, the best strategy is working to treat acne once and for all. Luckily, there are actually plenty of ways to not only eliminate the breakouts that you already have, but to prevent new ones from forming.I have a few areas on my face that are prone to breakouts and I cannot seem to get rid of them, I was so pleased to hear about the following ways to treat them (I won’t need to hide my face so much in future).

While masks and special treatments can be great for occasional usage, an excessive amount of products on a nightly basis will just make your issue worse. Instead, use a cleanser, a treatment that contains salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide and a moisturizer. Try to stay with that simple, basic regimen for the best results.
Banish Body Breakouts – Body acne can seem difficult to treat. However, treating body breakouts is actually no fundamentally different than treating breakouts on your face. Use a body wash designed for acne-prone skin and then follow up with a moisturizer that contains acne-fighting ingredients like salicylic acid. If you experience dryness in addition to your acne, layer a moisturizing cream or lotion over the product that you’re using to treat your body blemishes.
Ultimately, the only way to truly treat your acne is to find a regimen that works and to stick to it. Remember, results don’t happen overnight. Commit to at least 30 days of making your anti-acne regimen a nightly habit. If you can make that commitment, you’ll be quite pleased with the results.
