Its week three, another challenge with my Canon PIXMA MG7150 and the fantastic facilities that come inbuilt – it is genius. This weeks #challenge 3, is all about the social media facilities that come with the app and it’s called “PIXMA Cloud Link” which is a great way of printing out your favourite photos from your social media sites.
My third challenge from Canon is “Print your favourite family photo stored on Facebook for your desk/photo album, via PIXMA Cloud Link, using the PIXMA Printing Solutions App“, well for me this is an easy task. I have so many photos on Facebook and I find the printing solutions app incredibly accessible and intuitive. First things first, I needed to set up my cloud account so that it worked from the app:
The PIXMA printing solutions app is on my iPad too, so I used that version this time, when you log in you choose the Cloud option from the main menu and this takes you to the cloud menu. You can choose colouring in sheets, picasa albums and last week’s challenge paper craft items. You can also connect to Facebook and print off your favourite photos straight from your profile pages, its really quick and easy too. When you choose Facebook, it verifies that you want to link up the two apps. If you allow this connection by pressing OK, otherwise you will be declining Canon the permission to see the photos.
Once you have connected to Facebook, you can view your albums as well as all of your friends albums and print directly from the app. I chose my current Facebook profile photo as it makes me happy, I chose the settings that I wanted and tapped print. Within 10 seconds the photo started printing out of the Canon printer and it looked great. I pinned it to my noticeboard so it can make me smile every morning.
