Can you believe it’s April already? I guess it’s nearly May! This year is flying by so quickly, it can be difficult to keep up. Hard to believe that once Easter is over with, the kids are starting the Summer Term at school! With all the deadlines, errands, social commitments and hectic weekends it can be really difficult to find any time for yourself. You might think that you don’t need any R&R but studies have shown that making time for yourself and indulging in activities that you enjoy can have a positive effect on your mental wellbeing.
A well-rested parent is a caregiver who’s “up for anything” – this is a lesson I’ve learned after becoming a Mummy. When I sleep well, I have so much energy to face whatever challenges the next day may bring. Rest is essential mainly when your children are very active, and you need to keep up with them. Husband too! If you’re sleep deprived, you simply won’t be up to the task. Maybe it’s time to upgrade your mattress.
