As you know we joined the Asmodee Board Game Club, we love it. We are huge fans of Asmodee games, we especially love Dobble and Just One. The kids love them and the grown ups love them too. Board Game Club means we get to review different board games each month and share our thoughts and tips with you. We have started off with a really fun action family game called: Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza. It’s a quick thinking game that made us all giggle.
Setting up the game
It is really easy to set this game up; think Irish Snap and you are on the right lines. You simply hand out the cards to each player, so each player has an equal amount of cards. It is really simple, which makes it a quick game to grasp. I love the character designs on the cards: Taco, Cat, Goat, Cheese, Pizza, Narwhal, Groundhog and Gorilla. The illustrations are fun!
Playing the game
This is really quick and easy to play, it is a fast paced game that the children loved. Lots of hand slapping on the table. Lots of pressure to not be the last one. When you find a matching character, you slap your hand down and the last one loses. They then take the pile back into their hand. The winner is the first person to get rid of their cards.
Our thoughts
It is a really easy game to set up and pick up! We play this when we have a spare 10 minutes, or something to break up the day when it’s raining outside (which it has a lot recently). It’s also one of those games that is fun to just say, let alone play! Definitely perfect for children to play at home. It comes in a handy box, so perfect to take away on holiday too.
