When your kids birthday comes around again, you don’t always feel prepared for it. And there’s only ever so many ideas that you can think of for their parties. It can feel really draining. But obviously you want to do something special for your children. And so, why not think about throwing them a party at home? With lockdown Isla has asked for a pool party, it seems organising a kids party in your garden is going to be the in thing this year.

Right now, you might not be able to take them anywhere else to throw a party and that can seem so unfair on them. You still want them to be able to enjoy themselves. But, with all the responsibilities you have going on, it might be hard to work out what to do. So a garden party with food, fun, and friends can be just what they need. Here’s how to do it.

Specialist Parties

Snow Princess Parties specialises in character themed entertainment, delivering fast paced, action packed birthday parties aged 3-8! With our beautiful costumes and highly trained entertainers, we pride ourselves in creating unforgettable memories for kids and grown-ups alike!

Try To Time The Weather Right

First of all, (as much as you can), you’re going to want to think about timing and the weather. Or at least be prepared if you cannot guarantee a rain-free day. Having umbrellas, the option to move indoors, or some kind of cover is a good idea.

Create Fun Finger Food

When it comes to the food, don’t stress it. Just think of some fun finger food ideas to serve. Whether it’s pizza and littles and sandwiches, crisps and sausage rolls, whatever. The kids will love it, it’ll be easy to make, and it’ll be such a hit too.

Play Fun Games

Then you’ll want to think up the fun party games you want to play. There doesn’t have to be loads and you don’t have to be majorly involved. You could even hire a magician or someone to come and do the entertainment so that you can relax a little too.

Create Great Gift Bags

It’s also fun to create little gift bags for the kids too. You can create fun personalized things like an enamel pin or badge, but then also add in some cake and maybe bubbles – or whatever suits the theme of your party. It can be so fun for them.

Let The Parents Enjoy Themselves Too

And then you might want to think about encouraging the parents to stay or allowing them to if they wish. That way, you can enjoy yourself and have a bit of fun too. Putting out some wine and food for the adults can mean that you all get to enjoy yourselves for a few hours too. After all, parties can often seem and feel like a lot of work (especially with the prep) so it’s nice for you all to enjoy it too!

Sometimes, the idea of throwing a party at home can seem really daunting. But it can also be lots of fun (and a lot less chaotic) when you do it in the garden. Just be sure to take it slowly and think about the things that are going to make it a success and not what could go wrong! Do you have any fun ideas on throwing a party in your garden? I would love to know in the comments below.
