My little girl is growing up, not only physically but she is getting really clever and that cleverness is just amazing to watch. Observing her making things happen, or making something work, it is great – yes she gets stroppy if it doesn’t happen first time, but she is a determined creature. Lots of fun has been had this month.
My little baby is growing up and finally talking, not just the odd word here or there, we have actual phrases and describing words which tell us exactly what she wants. Life is so much easier, especially at night times when she is crying, “milk” bless her.
The same introduction as Noah can be said for Isla, my tiny little baby girl was so poorly over Christmas and New Years – it was heartbreaking. I really didn’t like seeing her so floppy, sleepy and poorly. We officially hate bugs, illnesses and anything of that nature in our household now. We got through it but it ruled out the period from Christmas Day until New years eve. Little Isla was just not herself at all.
I have actually managed to get some lovely photos of Isla this month, showing her beautiful little smile off and her terrifically cute little curls. I simply adore her little face, she has a lovely smile that just melts your heart – I know I am biased but at the same time I think it’s true as other people tell me it also. This month has been full of ups and downs with Isla, she has been poorly, not sleeping well and still not talking – but she is exploring and really starting to play with toys “properly”.
Today was Noah and Isla’s Grandads birthday and we went swimming, had a yummy lunch, played in the park, ate cake and of course watched Jungle Book. It was a fantastic day with the family of Constant’s…
This month Isla has been learning to copy her brother, stand up for herself, to say no very clearly and what buttons to press to get reactions, yes it has been fun! One major thing to happen in the last week is that my little princess has slept all night through for me, 7:30pm through to 6:30am (on average) for the past 5 nights. I am amazed, and hoping to not jinx the breakthrough, but I hope this is the start of how we mean to go on. Mummy is much happier with sleep Isla Rae…
This Fathers Day was spent doing fun things with Daddy and Grandad, so Daddy got to see his Daddy too: we had lots of fun doing Daddy & Grandad type of things and they got spoilt rotten with lots of presents to unwrap in the morning.
As part of Isla Rae’s birthday present from Daddy, and a little treat for Mummy too – we were shown a beautiful video that Daddy had made of Isla Rae’s first year. It was amazing and after the christening yesterday, he gathered all the family and friends around the big screen and pressed play. We were all captivated, for the whole 20 minute video.
