Something I never thought about until I was pregnant with Noah and Hubby had his photography business established, was a bump shoot! Hubby thought it would be a good idea to get some “cool” photos of the bump, in the studio and on location so that we would have some memories of the bumps, before they become babies.

It only occurred to me last week when we did a studio bump shoot of numero 2 that not many mummies-to-be consider having one or know about them to have one, so I thought I would do a review on my bump shoot with Custardface Photography. Yes, I know that it may seem a little biased because my husband is the photographer, but I can only say it how I feel it…

Dean has a natural way of making you feel at ease behind the camera lens, its not just me that thinks it, every customer compliments him for making them feel comfortable and settled in to the shoot. I suppose if you don’t feel comfortable, you will not have good photos at the end of it.

I cannot explain enough how happy I am that we got the bump shots we did when I was pregnant with Noah. I look back at them all the time, you miss your bump when its not there and its not something you realise until the bump is gone and you’ve missed the opportunity.

Have a look at the bump shoot photos here: http://custardfacephotography.wordpress.com/2012/01/23/calling-all-mummies-to-be/

If you live in the Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and surrounding areas then Custardface Photography will travel to you, if there is a particular location that you have in mind. I can imagine that some mummies-to-be may want to do the shoot in the comfort of their own home, which is completely fine, the shoot is controlled by you! If you want to go to Custardface Photography’s studio and use the back drops and make use of the props, then just request this on booking. Either way its a not a problem, as long as you feel comfortable with where ever you are. You don’t have to show your face either, with it being a bump shoot the focus is on your bump!!! Another reason not to worry about being behind the camera.

If you do not live near Custardface Photography, please don’t be afraid to enquire about a shoot as Dean will give you advice on whether it is too far or not.
