So what is your garden worth to you?
To me, it is a place for the kids to have fun and explore, wildlife to live and the flowers to grow. I love beautiful flowers, colourful gardens and neat and tidy lawns. My garden still has quite a way to go before I get to that stage!

My bird table it brings so many lovely birds into the garden.
We have a water fountain with two angels in the centre of our fishpond – it represents the two babies I lost due to being born too early.

I value my potato grower the most! We’ve invested loads of time and dedication to it .. and are eagerly awaiting our first crop!

I love having space to running around and thats its secure. When we first moved from our flat, we were disappointed as our garden had no gates and lead in to our neighbours gardens. But now is a safe place to play & relax

The space and the green of the trees all around
I love being in the countryside away from it all, so living in a town my garden is the nearest I get. Its a wildlife zone in the middle of noisy chaos! I have a pond full of newts, bumble bees nesting in a birdbox and frogs in my ‘wildlife corner’. Time spent out in the garden is mostly about creating places for wildlife to be happy and safe, peering into the pond to see what I can see and being chased off by bees for getting too close!

A place for my little girl to play in as she grows
I enjoy having my early morning cuppa sitting on my wooden bench and listening to the birds in the trees.
I love to see the garden come to life in the spring, new flowers bloom and wildlife starts a new cycle. The summer months it’s my own little haven where I go to relax. But most of all it provides me with wonderful fruit and vegetables: perfect!

I love our vegi patch home grown is always better
Our garden was covered in paving slabs and concrete when we moved in. It’s recently undergone a makeover and we now how turf, flowers and a veggie patch. Most importantly, it’s safe for my little one to play in now.
I value the privacy, wildness and variety of plants in my garden. Helps destress me.
Our blackberry bush – lots of fresh fruit and plenty for jam and the freezer for winter blackberry and apple puddings.

My veggie patch.
My beautiful lavender bushes. In summer, they’re a magnet for busy bumble bees & moths. During the winter months, the bushes look knarled & lifeless but by late spring/early summer, they suddenly burst into life. Bumble bees are suffering a hard time and I love my precious lavender bushes because they’re such a valuable food source for the bumble bees that visit my garden.
I have a birdhouse/table that my late BIL made me, he passed away suddenly a couple of years ago, healthy fit Lancashire badminton player just three days short of his 60th birthday. No one expected it so I cherish it dearly.

Depending on the season it’s a football pitch, tennis court or cricket field, however the ball is allowed nowhere near my patio or flower containers and baskets! I’m very lucky to have an enclosed garden surrounded by trees, we love sitting in the evening watching the bats do their fly by, with a glass a chilled wine, that’s me not the bats :0)
It’s very small but I have just enough space to grow some vegetables and have a compost heap

My children’s vegetable planters as they take so much care of them and alays make sure they are well tended.
I have a little gnome my mum bought me
we have recently put up a little play house for my little girl and it needed some decking first to go under it – so because of all the time and effort involved, it is probably the most value. And it looks lovely. It terms of actual monetary value then it is probably our table and chairs although they are getting a few years old now.
The space my children have to play out in the fresh air.
The part of my garden which I value the most is the raised vegetable beds Hubby built for me for our ‘wooden’ wedding anniversary!
