This 10 part drama is going to be the best one for 2018 I think. After watching just one episode I was googling, researching and getting impatient about the next episode. I love the other shows, do not get me wrong, but this really draws you in and quickly. It started on 4 September 2018 and it is on every Tuesday at 9pm. Don’t forget to set up your series link…

General overview

The truth about the Harry Quebert affair takes place in coastal Maine and focuses on Marcus Goldman who is visiting Harry Quebert’s home to find a cure for his writer’s block as his publisher’s deadline looms. Marcus’ plans are suddenly changed when Harry is somehow implicated in the cold-case murder of Nola Kellergan, a fifteen-year-old girl who has been missing for 33 years. You see very quickly at the start that Nola and Harry had a romance together, but they only show you an inkling of it. I am super excited to watch this series unfold.

Main characters

Harry Quebert is played by Patrick Dempsey, he is the main character. The teacher and famous author, inspiring millions of people across the world. Accused of murdering a 15 year old girl, 33 years previous, whose body was found on his grounds. Then there is Harry’s good friend, Marcus, who was a student of his and Marcus sets out to help Harry and set him free. Marcus is suffering from writers block and wants Harry to help inspire him to write his second book, Harry’s arrest seems to do just that.

From the moment it started I knew I would love this show. It is filmed really well, the characters are played well and you get soaked into the drama. I am literally watching this at the edge of my seat pondering “Did he do it?” and arguing with myself, “Nooooo, surely McDreamy didn’t do that!”.

Do you have any favourite shows you are watching at the moment, if so I would love to hear them in the comments below or on social media: @mummyconstant. I would completely recommend this show, on Sky Witness, channel 117 on your Sky Q boxes!
