Keeping a World Map log of our family travel

Keeping a World Map log of our family travel

When Hubby and I got married, I said I would travel the world with him and that we would do it with the kiddies too. Hubby took a year out and travelled before we got together and I wanted to explore it, we just had jobs and then kids. It got harder to do. We are still on a mission to do this, it's just a lifelong event. We keep a log of our adventures on our World Map. It's such an inspiring canvas to have on the wall. VIEW the POST

The north of Singapore welcomes you

The north of Singapore welcomes you

Singapore is known to be the oasis in all of Asia that Westerners flock to. My sister is going in a few days, how exciting! It's incredibly popular because it's so modern. One might even dare enough to call it a modern Atlantis because it's really a floating city. It has one of the highest wealth per capita ratings in the world. It's not surprising to see why either because the business, banking and export markets are huge. Although the population is just 5.7 million the overall GDP is a staggering $600 billion. The only other country that beats it to the top spot for wealth per capita is Monaco which has the highest concentration of billionaires anyway. Surely it's not just all about the money right? Well, you’re right. Unlike Monaco which is tiny, Singapore is actually a land which you can live in, start a family, and really ...

Picking that next great vacation destination carries with it a fair amount of stress as there are plenty of factors to consider. Sometimes, it’s best to focus on what a destination has to offer in terms of attractions, and for many people, those attractions can be museums. Our favourite stories for World Book Day #bedtimestories

I have been really lucky to be able to work with Adjustable Beds over the past couple of weeks, who have been busy making a lovely eBook of favourite bedtime stories. They are some incredible choices in there, ours being Room on the Broom on page 16. We do love this story and we all get involved when reading it.  VIEW the POST

Lets celebrate world photography day #WorldPhotographyDay

Today is world photography day #WorldPhotographyDay, one of my favourite kind of days. I love taking photos and going to great, yet sometimes silly, lengths to get the best photos. There are a lot of fun articles flying around the internet today celebrating photography and the lengths phtoographers go to, to get that perfect shot. I’ve stood on tables, climbed up ladders, lay down on the floor, crawled into tight spaces all to get that perfect shot and get involved in the action. Sometimes they do not work, sometimes they do! What I love about photography, is now that I am more experienced, usually I get the photo result of what I envisioned in the first place. This is something that is quite hard to do.
