Finding the colours of a rainbow in nature

Finding the colours of a rainbow in nature

On Sunday we went for a lovely walk in the woods. It was nice because we ended up at the RSPB bird lodge, spontaneously. It's a nice walk along the woodland to get to the lodge, surrounded by nature. A straight line with a forest on one side and big open space on the other. It makes for great perspective photos. Daddy took his big camera out too, always guaranteed a nice photo! VIEW the POST

Reflections in the muddy puddles

Reflections in the muddy puddles

Today we went for a stroll, in the not so deep dark wood and we didn't see a mouse but the puddle jumping was good. We found our reflections in the rippling ground and jumped on plenty of mole hill mounds. The family fun was nice and good, especially the puddle jumping in the Brampton wood.  VIEW the POST

Just an ordinary walk with my little family

As you  may have gathered from the title of this post, it is just a little walk (30 minutes to be precise) that I was able to practice getting the focus right on my new lens. What’s the point of having these wonderful things if you can’t take gorgeous photos of your family with them? So this is the Sony Alpha camera that I got for Christmas with a 50mm (f1.8) lens on. It takes amazing photos. I love them.

A birthday walk and testing out my new lens

A birthday walk and testing out my new lens

As some of you may have noticed, Saturday was my 34th birthday and Hubby got me a new "awesome" lens for my new Sony Alpha camera. I was so excited that I kind of forced us to go out for a nice walk. It did us good to get some fresh air but both Mummy and Daddy were not feeling very well, Isla was poorly on Friday and so it wasn't the most magical of experiences. But, I did get some lovely photo's with my new f1.8 lens. Yippee. VIEW the POST

A family walk in the woods

A family walk in the woods

Last Sunday morning we took a walk in the woods near our home, literally a 10 minute drive and we ended up in a great spot. Perfect for autumnal photos too as there was a nice long row of trees either side of the leafy scattered path ways. The children were free to roam about and have fun safely, the perfect kind of family walk in the woods!  VIEW the POST

A breathe of fresh air in the Yorkshire Dales

We spent our half term week in an old chapel, in Buckden in the Yorkshire Dales. I had no idea what to expect but was so very pleasantly surprised. We had a fabulous break away and the children walked nearly 20 miles across the week. I was impressed with Holiday Lettings, who made the holiday booking experience easy and quick. The cottage looked exactly like it did in the photos and we have such lovely memories to share forever now. I love holidays like that.
