Enjoy a visit to the idyllic Cotswolds where the blackberry jam is delicious, the pumpkins are ripe and a killer is plotting death. This summary had me hooked with Anna Armstrong’s latest book: Season for Murder. I love books like this, I can picture the beautiful Cotswolds scenery throughout and I am itching to work out who did what. This is the book review tour for Season for Murder.

Season for Murder

I love how this book starts off unlike any other crime style book I have read before, with the killer identifying her next victims. It is rather amusing! The fact the killer is not a professional, by any standards, leaves there a lot of room for wit and humour along the way.

You do not need to read the other books from the series to enjoy this book, which I really like as sometimes you just like to be able to pick up a book and get on with it. It is a really easy to read murder mystery and I found it quite interesting to read on many levels; being able to picture the scenes, the humour along the way and it really does keep you guessing until the very end. Great read.

My book club stars recommendation = 4/5 ⭐
