We are 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 this one… Isla’s gone on her first residential with school and she’s not home until Weds evening. “𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗼 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗰𝘂𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗴𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴” 𝘉𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘭𝘦𝘺 𝘚𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘴. ⁣ ⁣ I love this quote. And it’s something I’ve been thinking about over the last couple of months. I 𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘥 a bit of 𝘣𝘢𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 back in my life.⁣ ⁣ I’ve been putting off things and felt too depleted to even consider exercise recently. But I know in order to fix myself, 𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 and 𝗽𝗵𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆, I need to get back on track and take no shortcuts.⁣ ⁣ I want to 𝗵𝗶𝗸𝗲 in breathtaking landscapes, do fun 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 and I want to pick up 𝗿𝘂𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 again. I’ll have lots of happy memories of my pups whilst I’m doing them, which will be my motivation.⁣ ⁣ I’m going to start by trying to go for a 𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗸 at least once a day. A bit late to the party, but happy 𝗠𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿’𝘀 𝗗𝗮𝘆 to all the wonderful Mums I know. Mums of humans & Mums of furbabies…⁣ ⁣ 𝗙𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆 is so important. It gets you through the tough times, brings the happy times and makes you feel safe.⁣ ⁣ We are all still struggling after losing both of our furbabies… but 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘶𝘴 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘭 & we’re doing it 𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿.⁣ ⁣ This photo makes me smile. Quorn®️ challenged me to make a quick, delicious & meat free meal. 𝗤𝘂𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘀 are perfect for lunchtimes whilst working from home. They are also perfect for family lunchtimes on a Saturday as we have little time after clubs.⁣ ⁣ I used some 𝗤𝘂𝗼𝗿𝗻 𝗖𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗽𝘆 𝗡𝘂𝗴𝗴𝗲𝘁𝘀 to make a quick and tasty meal (since recording this I now use the 𝘢𝘪𝘳 𝘧𝘳𝘺𝘦𝘳 which is even quicker than the conventional oven).⁣ ⁣ Being vegetarian is definitely made easier with Quorn products. They are tasty, usually quick to cook & versatile. Isla & Noah love these nuggets too, they prefer them to meat. A family bag of Crispy Nuggets lasts a long time, so they are 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲.⁣ ⁣ My lunch is a Quorn Crispy Nugget roll. Happy International Women’s Day… I’m lucky enough to have grown up with independent & strong women all around me. It’s where I get my resilience & determination from. It’s something that I want to ensure Isla has too: to be resilient is to have patience and strength. To keep a smile, even if deep down it’s painful. Determination is to have focus and passion. To keep going even if the end is not quite in sight. I can see a lot of this in her already… she is far more confident than I ever was at 10 and she knows her own mind. Which I love. Now I need to make sure she has self confidence, self awareness and self love. So she can endure all that life throws at her and she can listen to her body & mind to guide her. I love that I’m still learning things about myself on this motherhood journey: some of those things I’m learning from Isla.
