This week there isn’t much change from last week, I still have pain in the pelvis and I am feeling tired. I’m not letting myself slow down just yet though as I have so much to do.
Still awaiting the physio appointment, but the midwife said to wait until 2 weeks and then chase it, fingers crossed something comes through the post tomorrow.
Bump is very “bumpy” at the moment, every single movement feels like I am getting kicked into the beyond and looks like a section of Alien the movie. Not that I want to compare my baby to an alien, but you know what I mean.
Why is it that everyone keeps telling me to get to bed early, I know I need to get to bed early, yet I never seem to make it to bed (to sleep) until at least midnight… then up at 7am the next day! How I am surviving right now on such a crap sleep, I will never know. IĀ definitelyĀ am feeling it second time around, word of advice to all first mummies to be – make the most of the first pregnancy!!
Bumpometer update
weight: 8 st 9lb
Measurement: 93.5 cms
Its still growing nicely, I think its feeling the pressures of less room now, I have a very tight tummy which is quite hard now. I have also been experiencing my belly getting tight for short bursts – I think its technically known as “tightening”! I hope that doesnt mean baby is uncomfortable for those moments, as it doesnt feel very good for me.
11 weeks to go… EEK!
I was diagnosed with SPD at 34 weeks with Harry (2nd pregnancy) despite letting the doctor know at 24 weeks that I was in pain. At 34 weeks – had my physio appointment.
Warning: if they tell you to put a tube bandage on overnight to keep your hiips together DON’T! I have never, ever been in so much pain…other than being in labour with Harry.
After 2 hours I yanked the bandage off and threw it away.
You have a beautiful bump by the way xx
Thats not good, such a long wait. If I havent heard by Thursday (which will make it a fortnight) I am going to call midwife and chase it. Not fair to leave people waiting, its not fun!!
The midwife mentioned a support belt, but surely anything has to be better than the pain at night time? š
Thank you – I do love my bump, I know I will miss it when its not here anymore, so I am trying not to wish the next 10.5 weeks away!! xx
I had a support belt. Which was good. But the bandage made the pain SO much worse. When I took it off I couldn’t move for 15 minutes, which wasn’t great at 2am when I was half asleep. The pain the bandaged coursed was worse than the SPD itself.
I didn’t use the bandage anymore and just decided to put up with the pain.
I hope you don’t have to wait too much longer for help xx
Ok firstly can I just say *GAWP* 8 stone 9lbs at 29 weeks? Seriously? I was like 11 stone or something lol. Hun you are utterly glowing š Cant wait to meet bump xx
