We have been very lucky to review a very cool Y Fliker J2 scooter from Y-Volution, as you probably know by now Noah loves his scooters and he was so excited to test out this new one. His big boy scooter as he calls it.

Thanks to the new Y Fliker, there is no need to kick the pavement like a 2 wheeled scooter, you literally have to do this swooping action with your hips. It sways you side to side and this gets the Y Fliker moving and all you need to do is keep up the action to keep moving forward. I had a lot of fun trying this out and teaching Noah the actions. We call it the “bum wiggle” movement, Noah thinks that is really funny and when I was doing it, it does feel like a dance – it is great fun. I wish I was a kid again! You can read up on how to ride the Y Fliker, there are some great videos on YouTube too.

The Y Fliker comes flat packed in a decent sized box, you could easily wrap this up for birthdays and Christmas, but although it is flat-packed there is literally only 1 major connection needed to build the scooter. Underneath the plastic red Y-Volution crested protection on the front of the scooter, there is a bolt and nut, which you tighten around the handle pole which holds the connection between the main handle pole and the bottom part of the scooter.

Noah really loves his scooter, but unfortunately I do not think he is quite getting his head around the “bum wiggle” movement that we call it. He tries too but he hasn’t quite mastered the art of this yet. Now the weather is getting better, dryer and sunnier, we will be going out more and more on the Y Fliker scooter so that we can practice. Keep an eye on the blog for more Y Fliker adventures in the future, he will get there soon enough.

We have had a lot of fun on the Y Fliker so far, Noah finds it more comfortable to use it with his foot on the ground for the moment, but it is a good demonstration that the scooter can be used both ways still. Especially for little people like Noah who like to zoom super fast around the park. He did go extremely fast, it’s a great lightweight scooter.

You can find all the fabulous products on the Y-Volution website: http://www.yvolution.com/. You can follow them on Twitter: https://twitter.com/YvolutionWorld, you can also like them on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/yvolution.world.

Looking forward to the next adventure with the Y Fliker, we will learn that “bum wiggle”…
