Noah – 3 years and 9 months

Noah is growing up! That is really the main topic for August and this month he has shown that he understands a lot better than he did last month and he reacts differently to things. All signs that the little man is developing from a toddler to little boy - even in photos he is looking more grown up. VIEW the POST

Isla – 1 year and 8 months

The same introduction as Noah can be said for Isla, my tiny little baby girl was so poorly over Christmas and New Years - it was heartbreaking. I really didn't like seeing her so floppy, sleepy and poorly. We officially hate bugs, illnesses and anything of that nature in our household now. We got through it but it ruled out the period from Christmas Day until New years eve. Little Isla was just not herself at all. VIEW the POST

The world's first mini Queen's Christmas speech!

Whilst the nation enjoys the traditional mid-afternoon Queen’s address after tucking in to Christmas dinner this year, little ones across the country can tune in to enjoy an alternative message created by baby and toddler food experts Ella’s Kitchen. I couldn’t help but share this cute mini Queen’s Christmas speech…

The 2 and a half year check

The 2 and a half year check

Noah had his 2 1/2 year check up this morning and the health visitor made him do some things, which I'd never thought of before and I was gobsmacked. She drew a big circle and said who shall we draw and Noah shouted "Isla" at the top of his lungs, so the health visitor agreed and asked him to first draw Isla's eyes and off he went dotting in the right place where eyes should be - she did have about 10 eyes but still he was in the right area. Next she asked him to draw some hair and off he went and drew her hair where hair should be, the same for the nose, mouth, arms and legs - I was amazed. I have never thought to ask him to do that before, I was so impressed and I can't wait to get him to practice that every ...

Toddler Talk: Noah’s prompt book

Toddler Talk: Noah’s prompt book

To help with Noah's talking and learning words I thought it would be a good idea to start a prompt book with pictures and the associated word to help him along. The reason I decided to make my own book for him is because other books that you can buy don't have the words together that Noah has learnt so far. So I figured if I made him a book of his own, I can add words & drawings as and when he learns new words. So we can practice the words he's learnt and also as he is starting to say new words I can add them to help him learn these words. Like bus, he can say "bu" but isn't pronouncing the S so I've drawn it all up to help him learn. It seems to be working, he's certainly trying! Noah's new word of the week is ...

Toddler Talk

Yes, this innocent looking little tot, has been talking away for the past few weeks and I would love to have a toddler decipher standing by me at all times. He does the toddler talk inbetween actual words, like watching a Chinese film where they mention an English word or place. So, on Noah's list of words I can say, where people can understand him quite clearly, are: aeroplane, silly, love you, jump, get it, lolly and oh no. Not forgetting the “hi” that he copied from mr Flynn Rider in Tangled, which is hilarious. He is getting good at copying you now for words, facial expressions and actions. It's getting quite fun! This does mean that we need to be careful about the use of language in the house, although we're not. Oops. Just for a laugh I wanted to share these photos that we took on the plane,…
