We had a quote for new worktops, it was £1,000 and we simply do not have that right now. So, I found a vinyl covering called DC Fix that covers our old worktop perfectly and creates a new look. I absolutely adore beach holidays, we have stayed in some fabulous cottages around England that have had that beachy blues feel and it is definitely inspiring. Since the update last week, we have booked in to have our kitchen floor tiled and also our bathroom is being plastered. So this weekend we have to get all the tiles off of the bathroom wall. We have spent our time doing a bit of gardening and sorting over the past few weeks. I have also made a start on my test kitchen cupboard door with an undercoat layer. VIEW the POST

Month 1 of making our family home

I cannot believe how quickly this month has gone. It is absolutely crazy. I keep forgetting to log what we have been doing with just before photos. That’s the bit I needed the most. So, our first month in our new home and we have decorated main rooms, have the cooker installed, started the bathroom and nearly finished the dining room. We have done a lot since our last weekly update.
