🧙‍♀️ Yay we finally made time to watch the new Hocus Pocus 2 movie and we absolutely loved it! It was a great way to kick off the countdown to Halloween.

It was also the perfect opportunity to road test my new mug… which I absolutely adore.

I’ve started to get the Autumn and Halloween decor out of the attic. The living room always feels full and homely at this time of year.

Two questions:

👀 Have you noticed my little visitor to the living room?

🎥 Have you watched the new movie, what did you think? 🍿

May your autumn be full of blue skies and cool walks… bobble hats and family talks.
Fresh air in your lungs and a crunch at your feet… where the working week ends and the weekends meet!

I hope you had a lovely weekend and got out in the fresh air. I needed a chilled weekend and I feel refreshed for the week ahead. I need to get a good fitness routine going which I’m hoping to start tomorrow 🍂

🍂 So it might just be time for the bobble hats to come out of hiding… anyone else live in hats during the colder months?

It’s been so nice to wrap up in layers of cosy jumpers, boots and jackets this week. I love “sweater weather” so much! If that made you laugh, then you’re my kinda people.

What is your go to Autumnal outfit? I’m in the need for inspiration 🍂

If I was a….

This took me forever to make but I loved doing it. I love being creative and I learnt to use CapCut which Isla absolutely loves. She squealed when I showed her this.

I have the template (which I might blog about as the one I followed wasn’t quite accurate) and I have a few sneaky ways of doing things!

I’ve loved seeing everyone else’s version of this and so I had to do my own! And I wouldn’t change a thing…

What would you be? 🥰

Is there anything more relaxing and calming than this view? The sun setting over the sea and the calmness in the sea too.

Made me smile looking back at my Summer photos today. I’ve had a day of “cosy” as I drank far too much last night at my friends 40th party… I danced all night and walked home with bare feet. The signs of a good night!

I’ve not been out and danced in years. I literally can’t remember the last time I did that! It was a nice break from being Mum & Dad. Letting your hair down is sometimes the best medicine from a stressful few weeks.

What do you do to unwind?

I think it’s really important to love the space where you work, for you spend a long time working in it! When designing my home office area I kept thinking about what makes me happy…

I wanted a space dedicated to my desk. After working on makeshift spaces for 2 years it felt so nice to have a dedicated work space.

I wanted to be by the garden window so I can see the flowers and watch nature about it’s business. I have seen lots of birds and a few squirrels this Spring and Summer.

I wanted the right storage too. Working from home, studying and the blog all result in lots of things I need to put away. I wanted them to have a home. I’ve got the Kallax unit from IKEA with cupboards, drawers and box storage. It’s perfect!

I’ve been doing a bit of a Autumn clean in preparation for the impending season. I love Autumn, it’s my favourite and I want to start it with a clutter free office area (and mind too).

Anyone else feel more productive if their environment is less cluttered?

An incredible 1st year…

My 1st Years have created a fanstastic infographic showing all the things about a babies 1st birthday, to celebrate little Prince George's first birthday.  Babies have incredible 1st years and Prince George is no exception, I loved looking back at all the things babies go through in their first year. It was great to reminice about my little babies when they were approaching their first birthdays. I love reading back through my blog posts at my little Prince and Princesses milestones, they really are incredible. VIEW the POST

My little baby…

My little baby…

As part of Isla Rae's birthday present from Daddy, and a little treat for Mummy too - we were shown a beautiful video that Daddy had made of Isla Rae's first year. It was amazing and after the christening yesterday, he gathered all the family and friends around the big screen and pressed play. We were all captivated, for the whole 20 minute video.VIEW the POST

A day for bubbles…

A day for bubbles…

I have found it difficult today  and in no way shape or form can it compare to that of Jennie and her husband. Jennie lost her little baby princess at 9 months old and Matilda Mae was only 8 days older than Isla Rae, you can probably empathise with why it has been a difficult day now! Today is Matilda's first birthday. I have tried not to think about next week today, as my princess is one next week and I feel guilty. I feel guilty for having my baby girl and preparing all the things I have for her birthday and her christening on the 12th May and that Jennie, well she has prepared for today in a completely different way. 2 weeks today….

2 weeks today….

My little dinky Isla Rae is going to be 1 years old in 2 weeks time, I remember when Noah turned one and I felt like the year had gone so quickly and in comparison this year has gone so much quicker. We have done so much this year, including a trip on an aeroplane and a trip to Wales for New Year; lots of family events and friends events where Isla has met lots of little people to play games with over the next few years and we have come so far in relation to being a family of 4! What a month?

Not only have we had a first birthday.. We’ve moved house and we’ve been on our first family trip abroad. Lots to tell you about. Noah’s first birthday Thank you to everyone who spoilt my Lovely little man on his birthday, he got loads of amazing presents and had a great day. He’s been learning to use his quad bike and loves diving in his ball pool and throwing the balls all over the living room. I did attempt to make the quickest cake known to man, which didn’t turn out too bad, considering it took me about 20 mins! The House move We have now moved to St Neots to be closer to our family and friends, which we have found to be massively important since having Noah. It’s nice to be 10 mins up the road from his grandparents and 2 min walk from our friends. So far…
