One thing I have loved during lockdown, is getting to know the fabulous local businesses around me. Sensory Philosophy is one of them; they make homemade luxury home fragrances right here in Cambridgeshire. On the 9th June 2020 we found out that the former caretaker at the children's first primary school had been charged with 21 offences in relation to children. I have not been able to write anything as I didn't want to hinder the court case, but today he was sentenced; he only got 5 years! No parent should have to go through this; the guilt, the anger, the disgust. He fooled us all. I am grateful I got to hug them tight throughout homeschooling, it comforted me for that period of time to know they were safe at home. VIEW the POST
We had THE best time at Rumble Live Action Gaming last week, it kicked off the Summer Holidays perfectly. It is based at Grafham Water in Cambridgeshire and it is great outdoor family fun. Plan your visit by cycling around Grafham Water, having a picnic by the lake and then trying your accuracy skills at Rumble afterwards! Or, the other way around of course.
Ever since the first escape room opened in 2007, they have spread from Japan to Eastern Europe to the United States. The rooms are great for bonding with friends and corporate team building. I absolutely loved it. You may be thinking of hosting an event at one of these rooms, but wondering what exactly they entail. Are they dangerous? Will someone be able to participate if they are physically challenged? Is an escape room appropriate for children? The answer to all of these questions is yes. As some of you may know from following my Instagram stories we have been helping a lovely lady called Liz find her dog, Scruff, who went missing on Tuesday. 6 whole days we was missing. It has been such an experience for many of us but this is my account of the most overwhelming week we've had in a long time. I know some people won't get this at all, but I love animals and if my dog was missing we would want as much help as we gave - treat people as you expect to be treated and all that! VIEW the POST
