It was a little task of my recently to see where I could stretch my money further, but not scrimping on quality, you might think it is impossible to get both at the same time. It isn’t. I was quite surprised that House of Fraser, who I view as a luxury shop with luxury, expensive prices do have lots of products that are affordable.
So, opting for the stylish but lesser known brands means that you can buy more affordable products and this is what I did. I looked through the childrens section and purchased a pair of fantastic boots for Noah, some gorgeous knee high boots for Isla and some tights to go with it. They have a huge range of childrenswear on the website and it is really easy to navigate around the items too, you can filter through many options to make your life so much easier: boys clothing / girls clothing / Jeans / Nightwear / Kids occasionwear / brands and new arrivals.
Then once you choose a category you can drill down even further, really quickly to find exactly what you need: by garment type / by age / by brand / by price (lowest and highest) / customer rating and by age range (teen or toddler). Being able to drill down in to such detail allows you to be choosey about what you are looking at, so if you are shopping on a budget you can filter the items that you do not want to see and focus on the right things.
Styling under £30
I went through the website and found three beautiful items which came in under £30: Pumpkin Patch brogue boots for Isla which are now in the sale, so even more of a bargain, Desert mod boots by Pumpkin Patch for Noah and some beautiful fine knit tights from Polarn O. Pyret. The tights and boots look beautiful with Isla’s dresses and now Spring is approaching I love dressing her in smock dresses, a denim jacket, her beautiful tights and boots. She looks amazing.
Noah loves his boots, he calls them his best best boots as we wear them for best and he loves showing them off. They look great with jeans and a long sleeve tee. They are just incredibly stylish little boots for him, they almost make him look like a minature adult! I love clothes that do that.
Did you know that there is a toy section on the House of Fraser website? They sell an incredible range of toys for children and there are toys for all ages and budgets. I had a look on there the other day for some little presents that Noah and Isla can give to their friends, at their birthday birthdays. There was a lot of inspiration and I ended up grabbing some great bargains on toys which made it look like Noah and Isla were rather generous! I do know that next on our to buy list is the Bumblebee transformer for Noah, he loved him when we watched the film at the weekend.
