The fantastic competition and opportunity to work with Activity Toys Direct couldn’t have come at a better time; we are moving house within the month and I have a new garden to prep ready for spring to have lots of mini Constant fun. So I have lots of ideas on how to glam up the garden and give it a fantastic makeover.

The thing I want most for our garden is a playhouse, I love playhouses and I have wanted one ever since I was a little girl, so it is also secretly for Mummy too. The kids have play pop up tents and we make camps up, so I know they would love a playhouse all to themselves. Our new house will provide room for the kids to have a playroom with their pretend kitchen and other activities in it, so it will be nice for when the nicer weather comes for them to take their imaginations outside.

I love all of the playhouses on the Activity Toys Direct website, but if I had to choose one, if I won the competition and had £750 to spend I would choose: Winnie the Pooh playhouse. I love Winnie the Pooh and I know the kids do too, so it would be great and its the perfect size to fit snug in our new garden.

The garden is quite a large rectangle, it has a greenhouse to the left and a large lawned area to the right, so we have plenty of room to make it child friendly. I know we need to fence off the left hand side to keep the children away from the greenhouse and also we want to make the dogs part of the garden separate too. Need I say no more on that subject! But I think it will be a wise move to have a doggy part to the garden and a child friendly part to the garden, I am looking forward to just letting the children loose in the garden and it being a safe environment for them – very unlike what we have now.

I am looking forward to planting flowers with the children and for growing tomatoes again with Noah, he loved growing the last lot and was fascinated with the process. So the children will have a potted plant area full of bright flower pots and matching bright flowers. We will have the patio furniture set up with an area for the kids to sit and play and draw when the Spring comes. I am so looking forward to having a better garden area for our family and spending lots of time next year having fun in the garden.

I have recently started to get into crafts and up-cycling old furniture, so I am currently on the look out for an old bench/picnic bench that I want to re-paint white and light blue. Our recent trip to Brighton has inspired me with a nautical theme with pastel colours and really taking on board that Shabby Chic look, so be prepared for lots of upcoming crafty, DIY and “new house” posts over the winter period. I am so excited… Can you tell?
