I have listed some fab Spring cleaning hacks for 2025 and curated a list of goodies that you can purchase on Amazon. Some of these things might be obvious, but it’s when seeing other people share the tips and gadgets that has inspired me to do the same! I love a good cleaning session, especially at the start of the seasons, there is always something to prepare for.
Electric spin scrubber
When you need a lot of elbow grease, sometimes the only way is to use an electric tool and this electric spin scrubber has been a life saver for me this year. It comes with multiple different heads which means I can clean everything in the house, from hard floors, glass and mirrors, to the rugs and carpets. It charges quickly and has a display for how much battery life is left. If there is one thing you should get this year, it’s this!
Fill an empty washing bowl with boiling hot water, add a few capfuls of Zoflora and leave for an hour, to give your home a lovely smell. Perfect for when you have just finished a cleaning sesh!
Crevice cleaning brush
This crevice cleaning brush is the best tool for your cleaning kit! It gets in all of those spaces that are hard to reach and is a lot better than a toothbrush head. I use this for cleaning around the shower, skirting boards and the kitchen units. It is also really useful for cleaning window tracks.
Prevent dust
Some of you might already know that I am allergic to dust, which is really frustrating when I want to do a big Spring clean! How to stop dust from collecting is really important to me and this Purdy and Figg set is a great! Since using this on my furniture it has helped to reduce dust build up and I love that the set is made out of natural products – oh and it smells amazing too.
Hack for your Speedmop
I bought these microfibre mop pads to use on my Flash Speedmop, I can re-use them and use any products I like on the floors. It is really easy to use and it is a lot more sustainable than using wipes. They come in a pack of 4, so you will always have one to use whilst you wash the dirty ones.
Non scratch scrubber
Getting dishes perfectly clean can be hard work, I love doing a deep clean on the oven dishes as these can get really grimy! I love my Scrub Daddy + Mommy pack, they are perfect as they do not scratch and they last a long time! Get the little Scrub Daddy hook too, it’s perfect for storing the little scrubber.
Oven cleaner and tool
Keeping on top of our oven is quite time consuming, it really shows everything and I regret choosing the black Rangemaster! Finding good cleaning products for your oven is essential and I found the Astonish oven and grill cleaner with the scraper tool perfect.
To clean your oven racks, put them in the bath with fairy liquid and soak them before giving them a big scrub.
Lemon container
I got this lemon container for the fridge, because a lot of cleaning tips revolve around using fresh lemon. The citric acid in lemons is antibacterial and antiseptic, which means that lemons can kill bacteria, remove mould and mildew and even, if done properly, remove rust. The container means you can re-use lemons and store them in the fridge.
Zoflora in your steam mop
Saving the best for last, one of my most popular blog posts is my little Zoflora cleaning tip and I couldn’t leave this list without it. If you use an electric steam mop, add a few drops of Zoflora in to the water and it will not only clean bacteria but make the house smell really lovely.
