Tonight was nice and chilled: candles on, snuggly PJs and a herbal tea. I love the Pukka teas, such interesting and yummy flavours. Ladies, get the Womankind one into your lives! The lantern in the fireplace is from Melody Maison I needed to find it a home and this seemed perfect. It makes me feel like I have a working log burner going when I am sitting there in the evening.
Today was a reflective one: thinking about what the future holds and worrying about silly comments on my YouTube channel. The children were really good when we got home from school, they played really nicely and I literally didn’t have to raise my voice once – which is always a bonus. It gave me time to sort out my bits and cook their dinner. It has been a relaxing evening, which is nice.
Today was a busy day at work: training and catching up with what’s been going on whilst I was on holiday. Which seems to be lots. I got home to a princess and PJ boy on the trampoline. They do make me giggle. So random! They had a nice day, Noah loved it that Nanny had been here. They were both very tired, I hope they sleep better tonight!
Today we went up north to see the wonderful Treharnes, Edwardos and Hopkinsons. It was a lovely day, especially watching the kiddies all playing together nicely. Six children did seem a bit much at one point though, mainly when it was meal time. Who would have thought 15 years ago we would be sitting around with our children playing at our feet nicely? Crazy how time flies!
Today we went to Alexandra Palace, AllyPally, I’d never been there before. It’s beautiful. So many pockets of park, everywhere. We went to try out the new Go Ape, which was incredible and scary! It was nice walking through the park to get there. (Post and video showing the new Go Ape will be online this week).
Today was a very busy day, I worked my longer day and so I didn’t really do or see many opportunities for a photo. I got home to two wiped out kiddies and I made them a camp in the bottom bunk and put on a film. They chilled. It was cute. I did manage to get out for a walk at lunchtime, it’s amazing what a quick walk in the fresh air can do to make the day seem shorter and my head clearer!
Today was my day off and I filled it up very quickly. Funny story: my first time at Pilates. I was 2 minutes late arriving, embarrassing. Then 10 minutes into the class I hear, over the customer speaker system, can the owner of a silver Megane reg xxx come to reception please. I was most embarrassed. Turns out I’d not put the hand break on and it rolled into the car park. Eek. They all laughed when I got back into Pilates… it was a fun ice breaker I guess. I finished off a couple of crochet projects too. I think I’ve mastered the bobble hat. Despite it being spring. And I’ve nearly finished Islas Mermaid Tail Blanket. It’s so cute!
You may have seen this photo on Instagram this week: it was the children’s first day back at school after just over 2 weeks off. Noah was fine, ready to go. Very cool! Isla on the other hand seemed very clingy and emotional. All she wanted, at the point of this photo, was a cuddle with Noah. It was cute. But Noah really didn’t want to. I explained that his job as big brother is to look out for his little sister and take care of her, including the odd cuddle to make her feel better. He obliged and that’s what I’ve captured here. You can tell he reallllllly wanted to!
Today was a big change to our routine: Mummy hadn’t realised that it was an in set day at school. She hadn’t booked the day off work. So I needed the help of Auntie Lala to save me. Luckily Lala was free. The kiddies had a fab day with her, I think the trampolining was their favourite. Maybe not Lala’s though.
It was a great start to the week, what with it being a bank holiday and all. Isla baked some fabulous cakes and decorated them with sparkling gems. Then we made bracelets and HAMA bead shapes. In the evening we were all treated to a lovely meal by Nanny & Grandad. It was a lovely family evening too. I love days like this.
