Today has been very busy, I did my second most steps in a day! Which was only 20,000 – not much I know. I washed both cars, hoovered them too which was really therapeutic – we then went to Ride Leisure so Noah could do his aqua park activity. Then we walked the dogs around Paxton Pits and I walked home from there with the dogs as the kiddies were getting tired. It was a lovely walk.
Today was a busy one and Daddy isn’t feeling too well which isn’t great. After work we played in the garden, I filled the paddling pool up and Daddy had a nap. Then we went into Cambridge for our date, I love going into Cambridge – it’s very pretty. It’s nice to get out and have some time together.
I loved a post today that my Uncle posted on Instagram, it made me cry and is just so accurate. It made me think about what Grandad must have gone through in his lifetime. My Father would have loved all the celebrations today for the RAF centenary. Joining as a cadet at Cranwell he was posted to RAF Uxbridge in September 1939 & as he walked through the gates there it was announced we were at war with Germany. He was 16. He was shipped to India for a while & then flown to the Cocos Islands during the war. He quickly rose up the ranks from sergeant to corporal then became the youngest ever person at age 32 to be made a warrant officer. From RAF Wittering in 1954 he was posted to Egypt, Cypress & Malta (1956). He was also part of 100 squadron bomber command on a goodwill mission to New Zealand. He left the RAF IN July 1966 having served with them for 28 years. He was an intelligent man with a brilliant mind that was in high demand. One story in particular I remember involved him being sent for in the middle of […]
Today was a busy one and a bit cooler, I thought, we had a nice dog walk after work and Noah did some cycling with Beavers. He really enjoyed it, zooming past me in the park. Isla and Daddy went on their own bike ride and we all met up afterwards.
We’ve had a great day, relaxed and chilled, just what we needed. Isla loved her second horse riding lesson, she had a great big smile on her face. We then watched the football as a family, it was lovely. Afterwards we went to the park to get the doggies some fresh air in the cooler sun and the children burnt off some steam.
We had a lovely walk this evening, the kiddies did really well as we walked around 6000 steps. They are obsessed with asking me how many steps we have done. It makes me giggle. The walk was nice, still very warm but nice as the sun was not burning. I worked from home today, when I took the kiddies to school at 7:30pm it looked cloudy and stormy. I sat doing my work with a hoodie on for a few hours. Then when we took the dogs for a walk it was beautiful sunshine without any clouds. It was lovely.
Today we cycled to school, it’s become our Thursday thing as I do not need to drive to work straight afterwards. I then took the dogs for a walk and did my usual route. It’s nice to have productive days where you get things done and get some fitness in too. I ordered the dogs new leads today, I am very excited to use them at the weekend 🙂
Today I was very excited as my new iPhone 8 Plus came in the post. I have waited, patiently, for 2 years to upgrade. It feels like a lifetime. The good thing with my new EE tariff is that I can upgrade in 12 months if I want to. The camera on this phone is amazing, which is why I chose it. I am in love with the colours and vibrancy. It lets a lot more light in than the older models.
We were given this note late last night from Isla. She really didn’t want to be home bless her. I love the way she has written her raw emotions down. It is totally something I would do! Notice how she has described the sad face too, incase I didn’t get it! She makes me laugh x
Today we packed up the villa, which was very sad and went for lunch at the Sports Bar. After we played a game of crazy golf, which was hilarious watching the kiddies and myself play. I am not very good at golf, but on some of the holes I did it in 3 hits which amazed me. Auntie Lala and Isla got a hole in one – very impressive!
Today we went out on the lakes, this pedlo was hard work on my thighs after our bike ride yesterday and the rapids. Noah and Isla did a better job of it than I did. We had a lovely day, finished off with a yummy meal at Hucks and a play in the park. It’s lovely to see the cousins playing together.
Today was a lovely, sunny, Thursday and I spent it outside as much as possible. I took the kiddies to school on their bikes and then took the doggies for a nice long walk. It started off quite brisk but it soon heated up. By midday it was absolutely boiling and so beautiful.
Today it was sports day, the kiddies did really well. They were in house blue – which won overall and Noah won his sprint race too. It was such a rush of adrenaline. Isla chose not to race, bless her – she didn’t want to lose. We finished off sports day with a lovely picnic on the field – it was lovely.
Tonight on our evening walk we came across a Green Woodpecker – I have never known anything like it. It was such a beautiful bird and chirped away. I hope it made it. The sunset was amazing this evening, I love these evenings. Noah walked around without complaint too, bless him.
We went for a lovely walk after our BBQ, the boys and Isla went to play football whilst Mumma, my sister and I took the pooch for a walk. It was lovely. A nice cool evening after a very hot day! I think I almost melted at one point… It was great that England won too.
Today Isla had her first horse riding lesson and she loved it. She had a great big smile on her face. I was nervous she would be frightened. But she wasn’t at all. Afterwards we went to Norfolk to a friends bbq and had great fun in the hot tub and trampoline. Summer has officially started.
This was my lunch spot today, just outside my offices are wild flower meadows. It looks really pretty in the summer. It was nice to sit and relax, albeit by the staff car park. We went for a lovely meal at The George in Spaldwick in the evening. Very yummy meal. Totally recommend it!
We had another playdate this evening, which was rather amusing. I cooked the right things but served up the wrong things. It was a long day! I had a leaving presentation to do at work as my report left the team and a meeting with the executive management team. No wonder my brain had stopped by the evening.
