Today, I was saved by my very wonderful friend Louisa, who signed off Isla’s passport documentation. We won’t be going away on Saturday as hoped, but we can go in October – fingers crossed. Then afterwards we went to Odeon in Milton Keynes where we watched The Emoji Movie – it’s very clever. I loved the concept and it made me think about what it’s like to be in someones phone haha. Great film.
Today we had a nice day, despite the lack of Summery weather. We went for a nice walk through the woods and ended up at the RSPB lodge in Sandy. The children were given clip boards to note down colours and animals they see on their way. They loved it! They noted down all of the colours, from shrub colours, the sky to pretty flowers. We also went to see the huge Koi in the pond. It was a nice adventure.
We had a very fun and spontaneous day at Drayton Manor, it’s the first time we’ve been in the Summer when the park is fully open. We usually go to Thomasland for Christmas. It was great as Isla was tall enough to go on some rollercoasters. We all had a fun day!
Isla and Noah love the camp so much that they couldn’t get out of it. Isla is very good at reading this book: Brown bear brown bear what do you see? She pretty much knows the content off by heart and uses the words on the page to help her remember. Very clever way to learn a book. Noah also helps her out too.
We had such a busy day today, right through to bed. Sleep he had his haircut. We said goodbye to the Efford’s again. A quick stop at McDonald’s for lunch. We visited Great grandma and helped her with the shopping. Then returned home to make a super Reading camp, a bear reading cave. The children loved it so much that they wanted to sleep in it overnight.
Some of you may have seen, Marrying mum and dad, on CBBC today. You may have noticed that Dean and I were on it! My claim to fame. It was Dean’s cousins wedding and it was such a fun day. I love this outfit and I want to wear it every day. Check out the episode on iPlayer.
I just had to share this grumpy photo… it’s safe to say Noah didn’t appreciate the Batman outfit I made in 5 minutes. Because I couldn’t find his actual suit. He complained the entire way to Summer camp. But at least I tried & remembered this week.
My Mumma is in Canada at the moment, doing a trek with camping at different locations. Every single photo she has sent me is absolutely breathtaking. What an amazing Country? She’s been white water rafting, horse riding at a ranch and taking in mountain/lake views that blow your mind. Very lucky!
Today we had another chilled out day. Tidied up the house a little, cut the grass. The usual. Then we had another celebration for Hubby’s birthday. He has been thoroughly spoilt this weekend. Look at their happy faces! Isla loves to blow the candles out for him.
Today I was not feeling very good, 4 hours sleep and 4 drinks, yes 4. Meant Saturday daytime was written off for me. Daddy took the children to Milton Country Park. They had a lovely day. Then a Toby Carvery (great vege options here) and a refillable Pepsi helped me out. Another birthday meal for Hubby!
