Last Summer we had an action packed adventure in the Peak District; abseiling, tree climbing and Weaselling. We had never heard of it before; turns out it is something that you can only do in the Peak District. The kids & Daddy loved it, a great day of fun if you are brave enough to clamber in-between the humongous rocks. We had THE best time at Rumble Live Action Gaming last week, it kicked off the Summer Holidays perfectly. It is based at Grafham Water in Cambridgeshire and it is great outdoor family fun. Plan your visit by cycling around Grafham Water, having a picnic by the lake and then trying your accuracy skills at Rumble afterwards! Or, the other way around of course. VIEW the POST

For those of you who have read this blog for some of the 9 years of its life, you will know that when the children were younger we used to link up to Country Kids almost every week. As they have got older and we have done different things, or just been rather busy, it slowed down. With my new screen time trick though it's proving that we are getting out and having fun outdoor exploring, which I love. VIEW the POST

Today and yesterday we had a lot of fun exploring Rutland Water. It's not far from Stamford, just north of Peterborough and yes it's free. Apart from a small car park charge. There is so much to do there that you can easily fill up a day or two. Lots to see and explore too - cycling, rock climbing, beach, parks and many places to stop for a cuppa or ice cream.  VIEW the POST
