Giving birth to a child is a wonderful blessing, however it does take a toll on your body. For 9 months, your hormones fluctuate, your eating habits change and your exercise routine falls by the wayside in order to prioritise the health of your baby. After giving birth, many women want to get back their pre-pregnancy body, however motivation and priorities tend to take their toll. Despite the challenges after the birth of your child, you can get back to the same or even better body that you had before your pregnancy. Exercise equipment specialists Little Bloke Fitness share the following stories of women that defied the odds and got a beach body not too long after their pregnancy.
Chontel Doncan
Instagram and Snapchat celebrity Chontel Doncan caused a stir by maintaining her high intensity fitness lifestyle during her pregnancy. This allowed her to keep her body fat low, although many people were concerned that the vigorous exercise routine she was doing would impact the health of her baby. She gave birth to a healthy baby boy and gained back her pre-birth figure after 5 weeks.
The video below shows a snippet of her doing her high intensity routine:

Kim Kardashian
Love her or loathe her, you must show appreciation for Kim Kardashianโs ability to get back her figure after putting on so much weight during her pregnancy (27kg to be exact). She started the Atkins diet and controlled her calorie intake so that it was capped at 1800 calories a day. She trained with celebrity personal trainer Gunna Peterson who gave her an aggressive high intensity workout plan, which she followed. Within a few months of her pregnancy, she was able to get her weight down to what it was before her pregnancy.
Sia Cooper
Sia Cooper is the motivational force behind the site โDiary of a fit mommyโ. She showed her followers on her blog how she successfully got rid of her belly fat within 14 days of giving birth.
Now, the caveat here is that she was still exercising during her pregnancy to keep her body fat low. She admits that it wasnโt easy by any means. What she effectively did was 30 minutes of weight training and 30 minutes of cardio training for 5 days every week.
She combined this with a healthy diet that consisted of vegetables and lean meats.
How were they able to do it?
Each of these women had to follow a diet and exercise routine that would allow them to maintain a calorie deficit. Many of the women achieved their cardio goals by going to high intensity fitness classes, however the same could be achieved by using cardio equipment such as the treadmill, bike, rowing machine or the cross-trainer and exercising for 40 minutes or more.
There are different methods that can be used, however what is consistent with all of these women is that they committed to doing cardio activities that was high intensity, they were strict with their diet and they committed to fulfilling their post pregnancy body goals.
Are there any considerations that I should keep in mind before starting?
The level of difficulty varies from person to person. Rather than making it a chore, it will be better for you to incorporate it as a part of your lifestyle. Focus on your physical goals so that you will keep motivated.
So now itโs up to you to make the choice. These other women got their body back successfully and you can too if you wish. So donโt hesitate. Make the choice to get your perfect body today!
