I love this quote and it is so true. We sometimes 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 aimlessly without purpose, never lost, just exploring the surroundings. I love that when we go on holiday we always 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐞 where we are staying.⁣

It’s also nice that when we walk, we talk. The kids chat about things they wouldn’t normally talk about and we have quite random conversations as a family.⁣

Noah was feeling sad today. It wasn’t nice seeing him emotional. Daddy took him for a walk and they talked about his feelings. His girlfriend has broken up with him and he’s really sad. Daddy tried to reassure him that he’ll probably have lots of girlfriends. His reply was “but I don’t want lots of girlfriends”. He breaks my heart with his big 𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬. 🥰 He is going to be a very loving and caring husband one day.⁣

And, just like that... they walked away from November. It’s gone really quickly considering. We’ve had lots of family adventures along the way and it’s also been a time of reflection.

This photo is from a trip to the #forest last year. I loved this location. Darwin Forest was just beautiful and I can’t wait to explore it some more next year.

I’ve seen lots of inspiration over the weeks, places to explore in the UK with the family. I am looking forward to 2021 and planning lots of adventures.

Something a little #different than my usual bright blue skies. This was a perfect storm brewing, travelling very quickly towards us. The #sunshine was beaming down on us from behind. It was very surreal.

Have you ever been in that position where you have sun on one side and dark grey storms on the other? It’s amazing how they contrast.

As much as I love this photo. Seeing the kiddies having fun, it does bring the memories of what happened 10 minutes later: we got caught in a hail storm. It was horrible. We all got soaked through... even the dogs were shaking! Needless to say I got the family waterproof trousers the following day!

I adore the Autumn sunshine, it paints everything such a beautiful shade. A hint of gold sparkles across the land. Then in the mornings it sparkles with the crisp drops of frost.

The weather has been amazing over the past week. I truly love this time of year where we can put on our big bobble hats and walk amongst nature’s beauty.

It’s #mindfulness at its best. Not only are you taking in the moment but you’re at one with it. However; at this precise moment the rest of my gang were having Berry fights right behind me. Launching berries at eachother seemed the most logical thing to do on our afternoon walk! 🤣

I’m practicing the mantra “Amongst the chaos there is calm”.

I’ve been a bit quiet on here over the past couple of days, not feeling quite right and super tired. So I’ve been snoozing a lot & resting my eyes. Sometimes you just have to stop and watch the sunset...

🍂 Happy Thanksgiving everyone... I hope you’re day has been filled with gratitude and loved ones. Ok, ironic that the tiers were announced today and upset the nation... however, I’m trying to stay optimistic. How do you feel?⁣

I had a nice 2 hour walk with my furbabies this morning, which was just lovely. It’s nice to soak up the beautiful frosty mornings.⁣
⁣
My friend surprised me with this homemade pumpkin pie this afternoon. It’s quite possibly the most thoughtful thing. I’ve never tried it and I was asking about thanksgiving. The traditions in the US sound a lot of fun.⁣
⁣
One thing that did make us laugh: in the US they have a tradition called “𝐓𝐮𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐲 𝐓𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐬”. Which is basically a 5k race in the morning of thanksgiving. Burn off the calories before the big feast. I had to explain to my friend what “the trots” meant in the UK. Oh how we laughed. I’ve dared her to wear her turkey trots tee next year and see how people stare!⁣
⁣
To anyone that doesn’t know, 𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐬 mean diarrhoea in the UK. I’m now wondering if this derived from the turkey trots... I’ll have to investigate.⁣
⁣
𝐏𝐮𝐦𝐩𝐤𝐢𝐧 𝐩𝐢𝐞 was a hit with everyone. Isla absolutely adored it and I cannot believe we’ve never tried it before. It will definitely be on the Constant menu again...⁣

I hope everyone has had something to be thankful for today. Despite the pandemic & the horrors that’s bringing. I think we should all be proud of how we’ve dealt with this year... every single one of us.⁣
