We recently travelled to another wonderful Eurocamp destination, this time in the North of France. Eurocamp Domaine des Ormes is a premier family-friendly destination in Brittany that offers a wide range of activities for all ages. We really loved the site and just wish we could have spend longer exploring the fun activities, I think we might just need another trip there one day.

Outdoor Adventures

  • Tree Climbing and Zip Lining: Experience the thrill of aerial adventures with various courses designed for different skill levels. You get a 2 hour slot and can do as many of the courses as you can fit in to the time. The kids managed to do 2 courses (an easier one and then a more difficult course). The best course, in our opinion, is the blue run as this zip lines over the pools.
  • Horseback Riding: Explore the scenic trails of the estate on horseback, suitable for both beginners and experienced riders. There is a yard, in-between the leisure point and the indoor dome pool, where you can say hello the ponies and goats. They were so cute.
  • Golf: Enjoy a round of golf on the picturesque 18-hole course set amidst beautiful landscapes. There is also crazy golf which is great to play with the family. Don’t forget the driving range too.
  • Cycling: You can hire bikes and explore the site, there are acres to discover.
  • Tennis: Hire a tennis court and challenge your family to a round of tennis.
  • Climbing wall: You can pay for an hour on the climbing wall, for €6, I thought it was really good value for money. Isla loved it!
  • Playgrounds: There are playgrounds and football pitches available too. Noah spent the week playing football with the other teens on site. It was lovely to be able to let him go off and play his favourite sport.
  • Boules: There is also a boules pitch onsite. We didn’t use this or see it, but it was on the map!

Water Activities

  • Aquapark: A large water park featuring slides, a lazy river, and wave pools. Ideal for cooling off and having fun. There is an indoor and outdoor pool area; both have slides and swimming areas.
  • Fishing: Several lakes on the estate provide perfect spots for a relaxing day of fishing. You can get a license and pitch up whenever it suits you.
  • Boating: Paddleboats and canoes are available for exploring the serene waters of the estate’s lakes. There are lots of areas to explore on the boats, we didn’t get a chance to do this as the weather was a little too wet, but I bet it looks amazing.
  • Watersports: Everything from scuba diving to waterskiing are available to book. Just go to the leisure point and enquire about the watersports that are available.

Indoor Activities

  • Games room: A family-friendly gaming room ensures fun for all ages, especially on rainy days. The kids loved air hockey and playing pool in the evenings together.
  • Archery: Test your aim and skill with archery lessons and competitions. They were building the new archery site whilst we were on site, so this will be ready soon (it’s outdoors whilst it is being built).

They are building a new indoor sports complex too, this will offer more activities that you can do indoors. Alongside the new shop and restaurant, there will be a lot of new things on site over the coming year. Very exciting.

Entertainment and Events

  • Evening Shows: Enjoy family-friendly entertainment, including live music, magic shows, and theatrical performances. The welcome show around the outdoor pool was really good and followed with fireworks, it was quite spectacular to watch.
  • Kids’ Club: Specially designed activities and programs for children, ensuring they have fun and make new friends. The kids didn’t use the club as we had so much to do together, but it looked fun and had good feedback.
