Useful online resources for children whilst homeschooling

UPDATED 31 March 2020: I have found some incredible online resources from various sources and a lot of Googling last night. Perfect to keep your little ones entertained whilst homeschooling and working from home. We are going to try and keep the kiddies in their school routine as much as possible, just with different activities. We also have to juggle working from home, so some of these resources may mean that whilst they are concentrating on something for an hour, I get an extra hour of work done. Anything is going to help over the foreseeable. I am still in shock I think, I haven't cried yet, although I have felt it a few times. VIEW the POST

How to be more productive when working while traveling

Working while traveling with the family may seem like a great and exciting thing to do, but it is not without its challenges. Between the many tourist attractions and the kids to take care of, work can quickly take the backseat and become forgotten. It won’t take long before your productivity level plummets.VIEW the POST

More money for Mum: earning money from home as a parent

One of the biggest juggling acts we have to deal with in life as a woman is having children and work. While it’s certainly possible for women to ‘have it all’ and there are lots of very successful mothers out there, often the practicalities mean that we are forced to choose between the two. That means if you’re a mum or have other commitments you can still make a living in a way that works for you and your family. Here are some things to bear in mind if you plan on taking the plunge: …

I am more than just a Mum!

I am more than just a Mum!

For the best part of September, I have heard "Now they're both at school are you enjoying all of your spare time?" or questions similar to that. I suppose the assumption is my only job is being Mum. I have to really think about my answer, as I don't want to come across rude. But I am not just Mum. Obviously I am wife, daughter, grand-daughter, niece, sister, auntie and pet owner. But also, I work.  I am an employee, a manager and also a civil servant. Not forgetting blog owner, social media addict and photographer of sorts. I am a working Mum and proud of it too.  VIEW the POST

Not such a great week for #Fitness

Not such a great week for #Fitness

This week has been a bit all over the place, and unfortunately my fitness plans have gone right out of the window. It all started last week with firstly the gym classes being fully booked and therefore I didn't get a place in them and also our poor little Snoopy got poorly and all my concentrations went on him getting better. The first couple of days I was a mess with worry, as you would expect. So along came the lack of sleep, the worry and the comfort eating. A downward spiral. VIEW the POST

It doesn’t get better, it gets different

Now I don’t mean for this blog post to come across in a negative way! All I mean is that as the days progress, the children grow and life moves on – it gets different. Things were hard become easy. But new things crop up. I am so looking forward to September as Noah starts school and Isla gets her government funded free time, so my bank balance will look a lot better but with it comes more juggling and I am sure it is going to be hectic. So I took the plunge… I reduced my hours! …
