Feeding your pets the right amount

Feeding your pets the right amount

It is very easy to just throw food in a bowl, any kind of food without a real thought as to how much your little furbabies (pets) need and whether the food is the right food for them. With our recent scare with Snoopy things have changed dramatically at home: we weigh out both dogs foods accurately now and we have started feeding them half of their allowance in the morning and the other half in the evening. Instead of all at one go. Hill's have created a perfect Petwise infographic which explains some very useful tips on how to feed your pet the ideal weight. VIEW the POST

#CountryKids – Farm fun at Thurleigh

Last weekend we took a trip to Thurleigh Farm, there was a break in the rain and miserable weather - so we grabbed it with both hands. We have a year family pass, so making the most of these afternoons at the farm is a lot of fun - seeing the animals, tractor rides, soft play and the adventure playground means that there is a lot to do. Fun at Great Grandmas

This week Noah had loads of fun at Great Grandmas and so did Isla for that matter. Firstly Noah fed the fishes, he loves it at my grandmas because her back garden ends at the riverside – so you can walk to the bottom of the garden and feed the ducks, watch the fish and the dog walkers on the other side. Its Noahs favourite place I think – he adores feeding the ducks. The ducks were not there this week, so he had to make do with just feeding the fish in grandmas pond, which he also enjoyed. He was really good at feeding them, he picked up the individual pellets and placed them into the pond so delicately. It was quite amusing and took rather a long time, but he was enjoying himself, so what the hey! The fish were hiding at the back of the pond though,…

Pom-Bear: New Flavours Prawn Cocktail & Smoky Bacon

Pom-Bear: New Flavours Prawn Cocktail & Smoky Bacon

Noah was a very lucky little man last week, when we were sent some of the new fabulous Pom Bears, Smoky Bacon and Prawn Cocktail. If you are not aware Pom-Bear is a range of teddy shaped snacks, which are a tasty and trusted treat. They came at a perfect time in the Constant household as we have just started letting Noah feed himself... Having his Pom-Bears at lunchtime has been perfect. He eats them really well and bites them bit by bit, so they seem to last longer than normal snacks.Mummy's favourite has been the new prawn cocktail flavour, they are really yummy and I must admit I always eat them by biting their heads off first. Noah & Daddy have proffered the smoky bacon flavour and they seem to have gone pretty quickly... They certainly have been a massive hit in the Constant household.Everyone who has ...

Noah is feeding himself

I’ve never had a problem feeding Noah, he lets me feed him with a spoon/fork, no problemo… I have never really questioned this method until recently when I suddenly thought to myself maybe a bit of independence wouldn’t hurt him. When baby número 2 swings by it will be nice if Noah can feed himself and be a “big boy”, so that mummy can be feeding newborn or dealing with what ever demands are on me at the time. I can imagine breast feeding and Noah feeding would be quite a pickle! Especially if we have the whole baby cries – Noah is going to cry situation going on. Fingers crossed we don’t get that. Noah has always been pretty good at feeding himself food with his fingers, I have no worries about his hand/eye coordination but when it comes to using a fork to pick things up or a…
