Creating a birthday party for a little lady

Creating a birthday party for a little lady

One thing that is important to me is making an atmosphere, that WOW factor, without breaking the bank. Do you remember the Unicorn party theme I created a few years back? Thankfully my little lady is easily pleased so I can do that quite easily! #Recipe – Peanut butter cupcakes with a surprise

#Recipe – Peanut butter cupcakes with a surprise

SKIPPY® sent us two tubs of their yummy Peanut Butter: Extra Crunchy and Creamy. We love Peanut Butter cupcakes, funnily enough I can't eat it out of the jar (unlike my husband). It is delicious in cupcakes and muffins. So, Hubby has been making Super Chunky toast, whilst I have been busy baking. This is my fun recipe with a surprise centre! Can you guess what is inside? A Num Noms kind of Chocolate Cake #Nationalchocolatecakeday

What better way to celebrate National Chocolate Cake Day (27th January) than to bake our very own chocolate cake. Inspired by Isla’s love of Num  Noms. We received a hamper of goodies to decorate our cakes and a Series 4 deluxe pack of Num Noms. Isla was very, very excited. Below is Isla’s creation (one vegetarian and one not):

Making the perfect birthday bake with these Princess cake candle holders

Making the perfect birthday bake with these Princess cake candle holders

I received the most beautiful candle holders from Silver Celebrations for Isla's birthday cake. They are silver plated and just look absolutely stunning, in the box and on the cake. I cannot wait to use them again, any excuse to bake a cake. The Princess cake candle holders are simply the prettiest things I have seen on top of a cake.  VIEW the POST

Her Majesty’s 90th birthday cake #LylesRoyalCake

Her Majesty’s 90th birthday cake #LylesRoyalCake

This is my spin on the Lyle’s Golden Syrup Queen’s Birthday Cake. It is a beautiful Victoria sponge cake, made with Lyle's Golden Syrup and the buttercream is also made with the syrup, which makes it have a very lovely flavour. Victoria sponge is the perfect cake choice for Queen Elizabeth and the edible decorations on the top of the cake make it that little bit special.  VIEW the POST

Bunny bum Easter cupcakes

If you love baking then you’ll love this fun and creative recipe from Dr Oetker, the Bunny bum cupcakes. The kids love getting involved as the chocolate decoration is like Playdoh, we had fun rolling the bunny bum balls up and sticking them on our grassy cupcakes. All of these ingredients can be found in a supermarket, a great way to spend some time with the family over the Easter holidays.
